Apparently it does not work for everyone those tingles.
Here is a specimen I watch sometimes, tattooed eyebrows, nose rings, fake boobs and speaks Italian:

I've seen this a few times now and there is something about the slobbering around and on the microphone that sounds absolutely disgusting. Not my thing at all.

@Stormwolf Same ASMR drives me crazy. Feels like someone mm from my ear either talking to me or unwrapping a candy or whatever.
I dont like feeling like some stranger is that fucking close to my face.

I mean i don't mind it in person, but this ain't in person. This is some weird girl slobbering on her microphone while saying silly shit on the internet.
And the talking always has too much clicking and popping and such in it, like they got the treble range cranked as far as it will go up in the audio software..it's not even smooth whispers or anything.

Lol yep that's most streamers. No "tingles" whatever that means, but it heavily relaxes me. 95% of streamers are absolutely terrible and have no idea what they are doing.
- Thots now get clicks earlicking, it isn't ASMR and is weirdo shit imo, avoid.
- Because Thots make clicks earlicking, some of the better ASMR streamers now do it. :/
- Don't bother if they are not using 2 heavily panned mics, some try with 1 mic which is retarded.
- Reverb and delay effects are close to mandatory, most don't get it.
- Making noise on both mic's the whole time, terrible.
- Talking or any conversation ruins it, so that's another 80% of all streamers out.
- The best streamers use weird objects and effects, plane pillow wrapped over both mics with reverb, delay and fingernails panning across is godly..zzZZz's.
and all said and done, and I just background the tab. I couldn't listen to a man do this, or a man hiding his identity behind a static image so i dunno
ASMR, so far, does nothing for me but annoy and bore me to death. I fall asleep listening to music. I started doing that because of my tinnitus (sound makes 95% of the tinnitus go away while silence amplifies it by 95% making it very difficult to ignore) but I found that it relaxed my mind to go into a passive state with no thoughts running through my mind making it easy to fall asleep. I've tried pre-ASMR methods like purposely generated white noise, theta and alpha wave generators etc. but they did nothing for me.
Anything I fancy at the moment although there are usually certain albums I tend to put on like "Air - Virgin Suicides", "Tangerine Dream - Exit" or "Opeth - Pale Communion" (from their post-metal era) and sometimes even some metal (nothing extreme) or some progressive psychedelic rock stuff. It's a process of putting something on that piques my ears/mind when I turn off the light, then I drift off to sleep as I've switched from listening to it to just hearing it in the background. I play it at a low volume, just enough to not be too low to clearly hear it.
I've done this for most of my life and the choice of music change depending of what I feel like listening to at the moment. If I'm just a little tired I can put on an audiobook and listen to it for an hour, then wake up ~8 hours later wondering where I was in the story before I fell asleep.

Im NOT the only one!
Then spend 15 minutes jumping chapters to find a part I remember hearing...

@AmpegV4
Yeah talking is a nono. I guess these streamers also need to address their Twitch followers/subscribers.
Best ASMR sources can be found on YouTube. This one I really like:
Almost complete visual ASMR, it works for me. This weird broad is Danish btw. After watching/listening to ASMR too much, I need a cooling down period for days. I suppose having a piece of meat at home that you can touch, fuck or beat, beats ASMR (pun intended). *
Some other mostly visual ASMR links:
That is Gibi.
And that is Ozley.
@Frant
I have always been bad at falling asleep. Stimuli like noise, light or smells kept be from resting, but sometimes it requires some relaxation to fall asleep. I don't think while sleeping, it is very healthy for your brain to be stimulated with music or spoken text. Perhaps you should put it on a timer or so.
*Women should always be handled with care and respect.
Totally useless + annoying, and i'm very attracted to women's voices, perhaps more so than looks.. that visual ASMR was almost as bad, or perhaps i should say sad. Just like with most porn it totally lacks genuinity, it's very easy to pick up on that, at least if you are familiar with what that means.
The visual ones I dont get, looks like someone adjusting the webcam/camera before filming for 20 minutes.
The noise ones make me anxious, tense, and a slight fight or flight response. Like a immediate reaction of "Fuck..do you not understand personal space?!". If I put on headphones and its in stereo I noticed I instinctively move my head away from it and my eye on that side squints.
It feels like the way this scene feels to most people:
Spoiler:
Only way I can describe is it is the same feeling you'd get if you was sitting in a library and someone quietly walked up you are unaware of, and whispered "Hey there" in your ear all of a sudden.
My visceral reaction might be more extreme than most. I dont even like my wife whispering in my ear. She use to do it when we first got together and had to constantly tell her I really dont like it. I dont like anything that close to my face or head.

In the topic starter I already said it doesn't work for everyone. It may work for the more sensitive people. That doesn't mean gey. Hack I don't even know how to spell gey. I could also post some vids that prolly should belong in the sexy selections section. Women being massaged and such.
I dont think its a coincidence most people I know, and most subbed to these, that like this specific type is guys. And its less the ASMR part, and more a chick whispering to you.
If it was a bearded deep voice dude at the same volume, with the same whispers or putting his fingers in the camera it wouldn't have the same effect.
So must not the actual ASMR response, and more the 'sensual' response to hearing her that imaginarily close to your ear. The concept of the intimacy inherent in it, and not the sensory meridian response.
Now PARP (personal attention role play) CAN trigger it, but I feel far too many confuse the two as being the same response.

I haven't been able to feel ASMR-tingles for some time.
Just now I was watching some ASRM video, I thought I was feelling something.
My balls were itching.
