I dont think im really desinged for flash. Here's the prob, the pic below shows a "B" and a plane, all im trying to do is to get the plane to fly a path around the "B" and as it flys over the shape the shape appears after the plane with a slight fade in effect.

Simple idea, the prob is im trying to get it perfect e.g. the speed of the plane is consistant - it rotates around the "B" perfectly and then at the end of the animation the "B" rotates to the correct way up as the plane fly's away.

Well below shows what I have done so far, and erm yup! - it's not great. Can anyone suggest any ideas how to do this correctly in flash, or is there any flash wizards here that can create a perfect design to it. I was experimenting with "3D" flash in the plane as it takes off but im even worse at that lol.

If anyone has time to spare I would happily even pay for a complete perfect animation of it.

I appreciate any help. Smile

i'm not entirely sure about flash myself but can't you tween a motion path and make it yourself? It might require the odd tinkering of a frame but it's possible.

edit: a quick google came across.

http://www.awdsf.com/courseware/flash/flash3_path_animation.htm

although i'm not entirely sure how you'd get the rotation there. Maybe you can just do it fixed and then go back to the curved points and make some 'key frame' type things and just curve it yourself, i.e. go to point a rotate it a few degrees, go a bit further out and copy the rotate angle and increase it again... then tween the 2.

I don't know, there's probably a much simpler way to do it too but that's how i'd do it Smile

Indeed, ive been using motion tween's etc... but it always fucks up when i come to get the path of the "B" showing. It's like the whole animation moves out of path and sequence. Hence my hate for flash Sad

Thats a good simple tutorial, however im more concerned on getting the "B" to show after the plane have flown across it. Check out the flash animation below, as soon as i edited it the whole path of things went out of sync Sad

The plane in this animation doesnt turn with the path as it was a early trial. Surprised

I can't remember the exact name of the tutorial but there was one where you could write your name by erasing the line, making a new frame, erasing the next bit right to the end and then reversing the animation again. It might take a while to get it precisely smooth but that's another thing you could do,... and then tween the plane to be 1/2 frames faster than the 'writing' one.

http://www.designtutorials.info/handwriting-flash-movie/

a different method to the one I was thinking of but seems to be just as good.

edit: http://www.designsequence.net/data/v2/index.php?page=hand

found it.

I only worked on flash for about a week in my own spare time and got so frustrated with my inability to do stuff. Although I did make one sweet 'blast' type thing it was nowhere near as good as others.

Now though if I had the time I think I could do it with the abundance of tutorials out there.
