Nope, I'm playing it between 40-50FPS with Transformer model. 3080 10GB Min light bounces 1 Max light bounces 2

Yes because a 3080 is NOT A MIDRANGE CARD. 3060/4060/70 are. Which is what I'm talking about.

and not even 60FPS with a 3080 at 1080p is just shameful

Then you're right. BTW, game has too many light sources because RTX pixels™, guess this tanks performance Embarassed

PS: Raised Max light sources to 4 and game performs the same.

A video card from 5 years ago is currently in midrange.
Should it run better? Sure. But it being a 'high end card' fades over 1/2 a decade.

Sure, but you will quickly find that your extremism makes us unable to agree what a mental patient is. So it is truly no point in doing so. Copy this quote as well, or shall I?

RTX4080S, 9800X3D

Recommended settings, latest drivers, runs at around 135FPS @ 1440p

The problem I have with this, is that when it's loaded, it just looks like Half-Life 2 to me. Or, how my brain remembers Half-Life 2

Cool, I guess, but I've played through it far too many times to do it again with some new effects

yeah, the updated version that was released few years ago with the ep2 engine lighting looked great already, its still hl 2 and the performance hit def not worth it now, maybe in 10 years when gpus are better

By that time we need a pocket sized fusion reactor to power the GPU.

At this rate yes. That's exactly where things are headed if there isn't a total rethinking of how GPU's work.

Too true, even the lackluster 5070 beats a 3090

3080 is not even midrange anymore, maybe lower midrange

This was a mistake from the devs. It's about 40GB installed.
