Game is a success on Steam.

2047 reviews / Very Positive
_

So how much money you think Ubisoft has invested in Steam accounts / reviews / shilling so far?

Since this game could SAVE or BREAK them, I am sure they went ALL IN with creating a positive image.

On the other hand...

Could the game be... good?!

Success at 42k players being the peak so far? A success was MHW with over 1million players.

Veilguard had more then double the peak and was a complete failure commercially. Not to mention that EA didn't even have high expectations for that. This needs to be a massive success, so unless it reaches half a mil at the least it likely is a big failure.

Origins peaked at 36k on Steam, Odyssey at 62k.

Both of these were successful. Steam numbers alone don't mean much.

Yeah, we'll see.

That Very Positive rating is the first thing Ubi needs to win trust and show that this isn't a failure (on paper).

It WILL attract more buyers.

Let's just be intentionally misleading and ignore the fact that both came to steam in 2023, 6 and 5 years after their original release dates.

<<Welcome back Yasuke!>>

Or something like that, details are scarce but I believe there was something about the post-Nobunaga rulers handing him back over to the Jesuits again.
EDIT: Much as he's an incredibly interesting character historically, rising to the higher-rank retainer status for Oda Nobunaga only to lose it all.

Unless we're going by Netflix history here.

I assume the inevitable DLC packs will go into Yokai stuff or other Japanese folklore rather than mecha however.

The in-game store however will probably be full of shiny glowy stuff of all kinds.

One thing's for sure, this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen.

One of the few things lacking is lipsync and overall facial animations, but the environments, deforming snow, leaves flying all over the place... *chef's kiss*

Granted I'm playing on Ultra with RT on everywhere, but... Very Happy

The graphics are really good and the world is designed beautifully.

I feel like there is a lot more story to this game compared to previous series. You're collecting memories and re-living the past, kinda puts more emphasis on character.

I think this probably the top AC so far. I would even say I like it better than Black Flag.

GoT is a way better Samurai/Shinobi/jpn themed game than this. This lacks atmosphere, voice acting is bad, combat animation is weak like there's no weight in it, music is out of the place, etc. Good thing is I've bought an deluxe edition account for 7€, not much money spent. Very Happy

This scene is better than entire 6 hours I've played so far in ACS:

The game is good but it likely wont get them out of the red if the numbers floating around are true.
