distant worlds was always a sleeper hit, the mechanical version of stellaris minus many of its flaws, although lacking multiplayer. the price tag always blew though, so i never bought DW.. and i can't decide if i want to buy this one either Laughing
takes a lot of energy to learn DW but i'm willing to bet this one is just as good once you get into it, always been a huge fan of having a whole simulated environment with working economies that aren't mindlessly abstracted, and the biggest problem with DW1 being its antiquated interface and they look like they've successfully modernized that. while it won't hurt to wait a few patches, i'm really on the fence with this one because of my backlog.. and the price hurts Laughing

nah i'm good, like i said, the backlog is real Laughing
i honestly prefer to just buy shit these days so i put in the effort to play the game and not drop it after five minutes.
i already know DW2 is worth the money just from what i've played on the first game and seen of the second, just got to find all the hours to play Laughing still knee deep in Elden Ring and Dying Light 2
