I think it was mid to great. Too much touchy feely emotional bullshit. Gtfo. Someone doesnt need to have traumas to write violence and all that negative bullshit for the longest time. This game is vedt when its having fun, not trying to be serious. So yes, fiction levels were great, sci fi levels werent. Scifi peaked on the first city and was boring warehouses and shit after. Side stories is where it was at. Fantastic almost every single one.
I agree with you with scifi levels and side stories and the so-so story. But that sci fi levels in the cyberpunk city with the motorbikes was great and my favorite. Specially during the phases when the 2 screens merged. I thought the fantasy levels were mostly meh if you ask me, specially the dragon levels (specially the part where you have to light up some dragon statues). You don't play these games for the story though but for the gameplay, which I thought was quite refreshing. I was happy to play "Contra", "R-Type", "Extreme-G" type of mini games.
no, i had the friendpass no need to pirate it, crossplay works so u can even play with console players, but there are some people that want steam only so those have the yaaar version and crossplatform dosent work, so if u have nobody just get friendpass
How does online work with Randos? Whose progress gets saved, if at all? So if I just wanted to play through the game campaign (in multiple sessions), would that work with random strangers?

Saving is only for the guy who bought the game. It doesn't save on the friend pass side.
no, it saves both sides, the one who continues the save depends who invited who, but there is chapter select and its subchapters and just go from there, there is no inventory so it dosent matter
