Like Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Misery, The Shining (1980) etc.? Wink

Nah, I agree that most of it is ~5-6/10, some are 7-8 and the ones that are 9+ can be counted on one hand.

Well, tbf The Mist was also great. The ending was changed from the book and he (King) liked it even better, which I concur. It still gives me goosebumps when I revisit it.

The guy wrote how many books?
I've never seen such a prolific writer, but he was on drugs most of the time.
Watched The Langoliers recently, also very interesting movie with a unique atmosphere. Effects suck though.

I doubt this will be a good one. When I read this story many many moons ago in whatever collection it was I found it the most boring one.

EDIT: Oh, Stephen King is "The author with the most book-to-movie adaptations", 51 adaptations (unless you count William Shakespeare).

Quote:
Authors with the most book-to-movie adaptations:
    William Shakespeare – 1100+
    Stephen King – 51
    Agatha Christie – 50
    Ian Fleming – 14
    Ian McEwan – 11
    Nicholas Sparks – 11
    J.K. Rowling – 11
    John le Carré – 10
    John Grisham – 10

Doesn’t look like there is a 2160p release yet.

Last five minutes of the end credits are just a black screen.

Anyway, proper release should come in a week -
