i dunno really cuz i haven't tried it myself. |
Yeah, they aren't to scale obviously, but the point stands. |
No it doesn't.
you should somehow condense the entire map for shadows as well, and then compare the amount of icons. |
Here we go:
Another non-cluttered map!

Except they're not 1 to 1.
The Shadows map shows multiples of the same event that can happen (like sumi-e drawings of animals that can appear in multiple locations - that's all the red, blue and green dots and squares)
It's like putting RDR2 map where you can hunt deer in location X, Y and Z and saying the map is cluttered.

Im pretty sure the shadows map is missing small chests, which are present in the valhalla map. If you check the interactive map it says there is nearly 1500 chests in shadows

It almost seems like it should be a game option/toggle to disable all of that junk.
As someone who likes to complete games 100%, it's a fucking chore. It'd be better if there were like ~50 meaningful ones with good upgrades etc, over 1,000+, each with dog shit in them.
I started Deus Ex HR again last night and it's nice to have meaningful things to find. There's lots of interesting exploration (dependent on powers you unlock, or paths you take), and it's actually rewarding (upgrades, notes, gear, items, emails etc).

I love how the first mission you are Yasuke, just button mashing through everyone and literally barging down door after door. I can't take it seriously.
If it was any other company doing a take on the life of Yasuke, it'd be worth playing, but it's Ubisoft trying enforce the message some more, in the most hamfisted way possible.
English voices are BEYOND hilarious.
Refunded. Maybe for $5, some day.

Either 50 meaningful like you say or meaningful lengthy progression. Last half of collecting you're usually capped out in most games and its just a form of insanity that keeps you still hunting chests and other trivial junk.

y u not use Japanese audio?!
It was obvious that was the first / ONLY choice!
It was good acted and very immersive. One of the 'PRO's for me. Too many 'CONS' though, so uninstalled for the moment.
Might buy it discounted. One day... When I'll have the time to clear that map! Being a completionist these games are heaven (and hell!) for me...

Because on the humps we complain about americanization of asia and american in asian settings instead of the native language, but when given the choice we use english!

since english is the primary vo for the game there is no reason to use second class japan dubbing even if its taken place in japan

Japanese VO is much better than english one here.
What I don't understand is why many of the character names are different in translation?
The game is good, it may be even better than overhyped Ghost of Tsushima if it will hold up till the end. GoT had slightly better combat but that's it, everything else seems better in Shadows. The depiction of feudal Japan is done really well here where GoT felt like an americanized comicbook.
Currrently this is the best looking open world game, finally something that can rival RDR2, if your pc is up to the snuff that is.

It's simple.
You play STALKER with Ukrainian/Russian voices.
You play METRO with Russian voices.
You play CyberPunk with English voices (I will not elaborate)
You play The Witcher with Polish voices (I will NOT elaborate)
You play Kingdom Come 2 with Czech voices (I WILL NOT ELABORATE)

its very simple and was already easy to understand yet u made it too complicated
the vo language that defaults the game to, or the primary language used in promotional matterials, thats the one u play, has the most effort put into
the rest are just ur opinions/preference and dosent matter

That will ALWAYS be English due to the necessity to promote and reach as many as possible clients / gamers.
But that doesn't mean you need to or should play it in EN. Or that EN is the most obvious / immersive voice over option...

It all depends right? The language needs to sounds pleasant in your ears also. If you're unaccustomed to languages then it might not be a fantastic experience. Like i would never play slav languages in my games regadless if it's "the best" experience or not.

It doesn't depend on nothing when you promote your game.
Its always EN.
