Looks pretty good. A slap of reshade and it'll be worth a replay for sure. I haven't played much of it since the original release.

Man i do feel sorry for the skyblivion team though. All that work will amount to little now that we have a highly accessible official remake soon

As for skyblivion: they've been fucking around for what seems like an eternity by now; and the project might never even see the light of day.
The screenshots from the reamster look pretty neat.

Not really IMO.
This will be an unmoddable broken catastrophe, and while Skyblivion might end up being that too at least they will have the support of the modding community to fix and improve it.
This will be dead in the water.

Ah, the amount of sequels/remakes that make me end up replaying the modded original again after deleting the beautifuly fucked new iteration.
CIV IV, STALKER, Jagged Alliance 2, HoMM 3, SWAT 4, and so on...

There is a reason Bethesda is releasing this without much notice.
Think this game isn't much more then a graphic overhaul. Perhaps they have a trick (ai?) to update the graphics withouth much effort also since fallout 3 suddenly gets a remusterd.
Also I don't remember Oblivion having good gameplay. This shit is 19 years old...

We still need more info, but IF it is the rumoured double engine setup either:
- they pull it off and confirm that bethesda are the technical ability wise mongoloids as was always suspected and gamebryo really isn't that bad
- gamebryo is confirmed as a huge headache and technical mess, which will make this a catastrophic release.
But we still need more info besides screenshots, so microsoft/bethesda just spill the details ya cunts.

I don't get the hype realy.
The only thing perhaps that this is a forum for 40+ year old gamers that have nostalgic feelings about this game.
Oblivion is probably the worst Elder scrolls game. It had benchmark graphics at the time and RPG's were in a though spot then. The gameplay sucked, it will suck even harder in 2025.
