violence and hype aside the first two ep felt more like a disney mcu show rather than the older netflix mcu. good start but not without its flaws, rushed, bait with the og characters. it maybe has higher budget but netflix looked better. they had all this time to get it perfect so why rush it, how do u still fuck it up
this is as much of a season 4 for netflix daredevil like dexter new blood was season 9 to dexter
dosent look too good, strange as daredevil supposedly has a strong fanbase, either superhero fatigue again or marvel is fucked and people dont trust them anymore
Episode 3 had me puzzled.
So they decided to barely address that brutal beating of two cops. Am I missing something, even if both cops survived the beating, shouldn't they know now that Murdock is not just a blind lawyer? This should have repercussions for the story, yet I can barely see it. The bathroom talk and a pair of mocking remarks thrown by Murdock toward that dirty cop during the trial shouldn't be IT.
with 2 ep left this season i can say the netflix version was much better, theres stuff to like here as well but as a whole the netflix version is superior and its lowered budget worked in their favor.
here we have bigger budget but looks worse, less action, less runtime, weekly release that could have been a binge as not much stuff is happening and viewership dosent seem to help either. from a 9ep season u have maybe 5ep of 50min, stretched over the course of 8 weeks. and netflix had 13 50min episodes...
its still good but disappointing, not a single scene tops any of the netflix version
They're not doing Punisher justice. All he does is yell, growl and kill people violently. Punisher in the comic books is a tactician who plans in advance and isn't just a mindless thug who yells and growls.
I like Bernthal's acting and energy but that side of the character isn't coming through in the writing.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
ok finale but after all this time to come up with a revival like this? wat a fuckup again from disney, the season is not bad, has some good moments. but overall def not as good as it should been
u can see where the reshots happened to course correct the season, if it werent for them daredevill would have suited up all the way in the end with very little action this season, not to mention none of the og characters. no one take intro and the finale all reshoots.
the original team fucked up trying to turn this into something else, the new team clearly has love for the netflix show and tried to fix as much as possible and make it more like netflix. still im looking forward to wat they will do for a full season now
The finale was somewhat underwhelming, I expected closing at least some threads.
And yeh portraying Frank Castle as a brainless brute didn't do justice to the character.
