As bland and ultimately disappointing as TOW was, I did get some enjoyment out of it. Ideally though, in order to abandon the spaceship of averageness this sequel would need: more satisfying exploration with dynamic environments and inhabitants, more reactive shooting, a more meaningful C&C system and deeper RPG mechanics, less safe(tm) writing, actual modding support and...well, long list is long. Meanwhile at Obsidian: huehue
Well, this won't be released for a long time. Hopefully the modest success of the original (which was made with a low budget and a fairly small team) have led to better funding to make an altogether better and bigger game. So far we know nothing about it beyond the fact that it's being worked on.
But yeah Paradox IP, but still, I think they should have kickstarted Tyranny instead of POE and then sold POE to Paradox instead because the world of Tyranny was tons better and I want to see more of it.
Also hope they don't lean too much into the 3rd wall breaking stuff or hyper facetiousness like they did with the first game.
Focus instead to make a good game with good writing, because the first game sucked in that regard.

MS funds it there is no way Obsidian will ever have to deal with low budget projects again.

Guise, uh, in the past we created all these good games except for the the outer worlds 1 uhhhh. But this time we'll get it right, really!
Talent's all gone, who do they think they're fooling with this bullshit?

I must have given the first game 3-4 chances, trying to play through it, and it looks like more of the same :/
Same, usually I can get easy into Obsidian or Beth formula, but this time it just didn't click.
I feel the whole presentation isn't my cup of tea, buildings, terrain, plot, so even if some characters might be interesting it just won't come together.
I still want to puke every time I think of that ugly innards planet (Monarch?).
But overall had fun in the game. Still, got bored after some 20 hours and just rushed the last part.
This couldn't look more cookie cutter stale corpo generic slop visually. Idk what's wrong with people who produce such a bland and washed out visuals.
Wow dirt with crystals and golden trim environment #95954951647654651565. Just seems very asset flippy with zero personality.
Indeed, it looks a lot like avowed, the video show little to hope for anyrhing better. Hope it’s a bit better then avowed. Otherwise it’s probably the end of obsidian as a good rpg dev, that would be sad.

What does that even mean?®
What's "good" for you? New Vegas? KotOR2? PoE1? PoE2?!
It's hard to believe that their creativity is still unshackled. Once you're owned by corpos, you are done. IMO all we'll see from Obsidian - from now on - is the same safe, streamlined, accessible formula that we've seen in OW1 and Avowed.

Chris worker on most if not all of those games. Those were also different times for Obsidian.
