Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition has been updated and no longer installs Games for Windows Live dependencies. If Fallout 3 was previously installed on Steam, we suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the title.
The title no longer requires Games for Windows Live and will now launch.

- Newer update broke FOSE, for now the solution seems to be to downgrade the game to the older version
- gamepass version makes you DL almost 50 gigs. Is it super improved with new textures, etc? Nah, it just DL's the multi 7(8?) versions
Even better TL:DW?

Meh, seems like a nothingburger due to FOSE having hardcoded version numbers. As for gamepass.. yeah, MS system is horrible. It creates a virtual hd that you can't touch, not even to create your own shortcut to the main .exe. Apparently they're working on changing all that but who knows when that will be done.. and if the final result will be any better and more user/mod friendly?
Apparently it’s going to be a dual engine remaster with half the game running on the old and creaky Creation engine for gameplay, physics and mechanics and the other half on UE5 for the visuals and eye candy a bit like how The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion remaster will be which sounds pretty fricking cool

I cannot fathom how this wouldn't end up being a bug-ridden Bethesda jank-fest.

NV is the one that needs a remaster since Obsidian were pretty clueless about the engine, FO3 is such a better game, engine wise (but also in some other ways, imo). I've done so much modding for NV, i know how much is broken in it.. its a stuttering mess too, unless you mod it, use memory fixes etc.
