very good big budget game of thrones style episode...right until that last scene...
that moment in the game was so much better done its crazy when comparing, from the direction to the cinematography and mood, to the characters and emotions, they really fucked up abby. heres to all the faqets that cried all these years hoping they will "fix" it in the show, they will do it at the end of the season they said or never do it at all

nothing needs to be "fixed", it was already good the way it was. one of the big complaints was that abby came out of nowhere and it was so violent and shocking and nobody knew why she done it. now they showed everything before it and people complain the moment got ruined
I really hated it in the game and I hate it in this show that they are trying to portray a false narrative that Joel was somehow guilty. He wasn't.
He put down a rabid dog that came at Joel with a scalpel—just because a loving “father” was trying to save his “daughter” from a so-called “doctor,” a child-killer. Abby's father was ready to carve Ellie up while she was unconscious, all for a vaccine that wasn’t even guaranteed to work.
In the end, he caused his own undoing.
In the grand scheme of things the vaccine wouldn't have helped humanity much.
Add to that the fact that the doctor refused to answer what he would have done if it were his daughter, and that Abby was fine with her father murdering Ellie, and I can safely say this whole family can fuck right off.

i dont know wat fucking game u played, the doctor clearly was willing to sacrifice hiw own daughter for the better of mankind, abby too same as ellie, he was a kind and loving man wtf are u on about rabid? and still dosent justify joel murdering 18 people including MARLENE in cold blood, remember her? the only thing ellie had close to a mother?
I haven't been following the show at all and it appears Abby is lacking muscles. I guess the writers of the show didn't agree with Druckman that it makes perfect sense for a roid monster to run around after civilization collapsed and resources are scarce.
Still, she could have done pushups, pullups and other calisthenic exercises to at least look a little more built, like a soldier for example.

not at all, before the show druckman said muscles was a way for abby to cope with the situation and preparing for when she finds joel. if u had played the game then all of this was shown in game, they had plenty of resources and live in the most advance stadium with state of the art gym, their group wasnt living like other people, they were living like almost normal life.
but now druckman says the muscles are not necessary cuz it was a gameplay mechanic for her to play more like joel...which is true but also was part of her identity...so its a very stupid thing to say and lost credibility and a big smack in the face for the fans. he either believes that or really wanted kaitlyn dever and couldnt make her to bulk up.

if all u can do is train daily and she was part of the military group and its been 4 years so its not like its not in the realm of possibility....maybe there even was some product left in that gym...but abby wanted revenge so badly and was very determined so it was very believable
in the show that black actress thats part of abbys group thats in the next naughty dog game she is a bit bulked up so they made her but not kaitlyn? i think they changed her to be more mentaly unstable for the lack of muscles. its a big change up
either way having abby skinny and taking out joel is more jarring than u not believing abby could achieve that physique in 4 years with dedication with or withouth substances could have easily loot something from a store its fucking not unbelievable...

This is literally the reason I havent even tried to watch season 2 yet, its just so fucking awful watching that actress. And if they are the main plot point then I'm even less interested.
