its pretty good.. i don't think i can level any great complaints at this one honestly.
fun game, ai systems that interact with each other, ability to build a castle and some material grind padding, solid combat, good progression system, bug free etc

not even botheriing with pvp here, although i don't know about how long it'll last for the PVE grind, it's certainly not at all a bad early access title.

need to unroll some of that scummy il2cpp unity code to be able to mod anything though

Lots of attention around this one recently.

But... can't say I am a big fan of the art style. Also, animations look a bit rough.

What prevent me form trying this game is this:
This is a action RPG that involves grinding. It's designed as a MMO but the devs lacked funding to do that. So you can play this offline and just tweak all the settings down if you like. Don't like to grind that much, sure, don't do it. But what's the point of the grind then when you can skip it?? What's challenging about a big boss and work towards killing it when you can set your own rules? Feels kinda like cheating if you tuned the game down (and considering that IGN review I certainly would do that cause of the time wasting mechanics in this game)

not a problem

set it an appropriate difficulty level and there is a good amount of content here.. not much different to setting easy/medium/hard or whatever

every game is time wasting mechanics and vrising is no exception, but it's good fun and well put together

Got a dedicated server running for my mate and I on my streaming PC (moonlight\sunshine)...

Imho it's worth going this route coz the resources will be processed even when you are not playing Wink

Moronic game.

Doesn't work with a controller connected (aiming is fucked, crafting becomes bugged). No interest from the dev to fix (2 year old issue).

Graphics are extremely dated. Reminds me of games from 20 years ago in terms of tech, WoW, Neverwinter Nights - neither which even looked good for its time. This does have slightly higher poly count, that's all. Absolutely laughable.

"AI". When it's done following you and heads back, just follow it and hit it until it dies, it won't fight back Laughing

Nah. If i wan't to play a game like this i would rather play Grim Dawn which looks way better even though like 9 years older, also it has that many years of updates vs this which might be decent in 4-5 years, though it will look even more outdated.

My friend and I have been playing the game almost all day and so far it's been pretty great.

Just do urself a favour and run a dedicated server on a pc\laptop u can spare to run 24\7. Resources processing is a bitch + it's more interesting in terms of what might happen to bosses and mobs and trees and shit growing here and there, the world feels more alive

I suppose resource processing can be modified via the game settings config file, but we decided not to do it. The only thing we modified was enabling teleporting regardless of what items you've got.

typical multiplayer crap. if you're thinking about doing it solo, DON'T. incredibly dull, and the grind is real.
not recommended, watching paint dry is more fun.

@herr_hump going through every possible thread in this forum and posting increadibly dumb and dull evaluations of games?

you can't give it a 1/5 on steam, you can give positive or negative, which of course is not optimal.

looks like seething and coping from a typical fanboy. the person who said the combat feels very MMO'ish isn't wrong, he didn't even say the combat was BAD, so imo this person is not very honest, he distorts what is being said. And again, those aren't "1 star reviews" many of those reviews actually might be in a more grey area between 1 and 5, we don't know since there isn't such a system in place.
