the 3 month time jump took away all the urgency....so many little things changed they made it worse...the whole episode didnt feel as impactful as it should, feels like nothing works this season

It felt like it was some form of moral justice to kill of Joel after what he did at the hospital. But that is a tone deaf approach to the setting. Point of settings like this is that evil is not punished. Its harsh living. And here we have a group of cucks venturing far and wide for a unlikable and pissy psycho to get her vengenace. Yeah right. Had she been alone or with one or 2 more close friends it would make sense, but a whole group of seemingly random people? Yeah right.
the tone is just all over the place, when they show ellie its just a lot lighter, sun shines, ellie has no obsession, no pain, they joke around, like she is always smiling, wtf is this shit.

feels like joel died for nothing in the show. in the game when dina revealed she was pregnant it felt like a big burden and in the way of ellies mission, in the show she was too much excited and already planning a future...

I've not played the game so I wouldn't know. But there's not much happening this season so far. The town attack was alright, but in the end it was over too quickly. Now it's just some people going from building to building. Perhaps there's a zombie along the way.
