It's much lower quality than a HDTV rip.

no DSR = Digital Sattelite Rip. Meaning it's capped with an analouge card via a digital sattelite reciever. So it's not the transport stream they cap. Transport stream caps are called PDTV = Pure Digital TV stream.

Although they do not mention if they cap it analogue or digital, but since PDTV means Pure Digital, it has to be analogue?
Or is there a difference between DSR and DSRip, guess not?

1) this should be in n00b section 2) DSR = Direct Source Rip (i think) which means they rip it from the source either firewire on cable box or a DVB card, it is of lower resolution than PDTV. DSR, PDTV and HDTV are ALL direct rips which will give best quality. a reguar analogue rip via svideo is just TVRip Dissapeard into the dark deep space.....
