Seeing how relic fucked up with DoW 3, that isn't an issue at all. The problem is that this here is shaping up to be a copycat of the 3rd game.

OK, so having read upon this a bit (and having watched a few hands-on impressions videos), the game does indeed sound somewhat promising. The devs are aiming for DoW 1 and a bit of 2 in terms of feel (a shame the visuals are kinda reminiscent of 3, though...). Also, 4 different campaigns for the 4 factions, with 70+ missions, which is great.

Also, the devs seem really decent chaps, with a great attitude toward developing this game:

I got to play the pre-alpha and published a pretty thorough preview (Google Translate works pretty well). I'm not allowed to share any screens (though I do have some pretty nicest ones).

Yeah, me too, loved that game, and no other iteration came close. This one seems to have the best of both worlds (1&2). Looking forward to some beta or even alpha testing.
