Sweden has become a worse country to live in thanks to liberal-conservative governments ruining the successful system we had by privatisation of most important public services whenever they've had the power.
Fuck'em all.
The result is that we have worse services, worse schools etc.
A recent example in Sweden is a privately owned pre-school, funded by taxes, where the owners have taken out a massive profit (~65 million SEK) while cutting down on costs by removing a popular brand of butter from the pre-school. The privatisation reforms over the last 30 years have proven that they unequivocally have lowered the quality and safety of important functions like school, health care, social welfare, elder care and many other services.
Fuck'em all.
In Sweden the state pays for school for each student whether it's private or public. Private schools are mostly owned by corporate groups whose only goal is to make as much profit as possible which can only be done by taking the money that is supposed to go to education and school material, ie. they indirectly steal from the students which leads to lower quality. It's even been shown that some private schools are giving inflated school grades to attract more students for the sole purpose of getting even more tax money to steal.
Fuck'em all.
The liberal government we have, currently lead by the "Moderate" party and supporting parties, hate it's citizens; especially the lower class and to some extent the middle class. They give huge tax cuts to big business and the wealthiest while the above mentioned sectors are steadily declining in quality and availability. They're basically trying to dismantle the Nordic Model that has made the Nordic countries so successful for more than half a century. It's been admired all over the western world since the 1950s.
Now it's mostly gone and thing are just getting worse and worse. There are so many institutions and public services negatively affected that aren't obvious since those changes are either a result of the general changes in the system or they're made in silence. It's been changing our culture and the citizens mindset since the '90s to the point where a majority barely realise what's happening. Sweden used to be economically left-leaning, mixing capitalism and certain socialist ideas for the benefit of it's citizens.
Sweden wasn't a socialist country mind you. Instead we see those ideas spent on HBTQL+ rainbow rights, tree huggers and similar things that only benefits the few. I guess that's another symbol of how the right have bamboozled the country for decades. For the liberals it's great that the "socially aware" people are wasting their time on trivialities instead of the destructive politics the liberals stand for.
Fuck liberals. Even the far-right Sweden Democrats has totally turncoated from their social economy politics into a liberal shitshow. They're the biggest party on the right yet they've been bamboozled by the liberals to become yet another party with a liberal economy ideology while keeping their strongly conservative ideas when it comes to society.
In fact, all the political parties on the right are fucking liberal when it comes to economy and the citizens.
Fuck'em all.
The sad thing is that there's nothing to the left of centre that has credibility and strong ideas. The biggest political party in Sweden which has been around since the 1880s and since ~1930 built the country into what made Sweden great, the Social Democrats, haven't had a somewhat competent leader since the early 90'ies. I won't even bother with the left party. They're all a bunch of idiots.

When will nibbas learn that conservatism is still socialism but just for the rich. Your taxes just become their unlimited investment fund. And the only thing that trickles down is piss.

Rant #2:
We have a totally useless government who, up until now, hasn't done anything to improve life for the Swedish citizens as a whole. They've severely lowered taxes for high income people and businesses. The political parties in the current coalition government has dropped quite a lot in recent polls, some more than others. That's why they just lowered the income tax for the employed, to regain some of that lost support. In reality it won't make much of a difference but it "feels" nice.
One of the current ministers recently said that "no one should get any financial aid from the government" and that everyone must work, including the sick, even though the unemployment numbers has increased like a rocket since our current liberal-right government took power. There aren't that many jobs available. That shows the total lack of empathy and disinterest in understanding a chunk of the population whether elderly or unfit for work.
Meanwhile they've repeatedly increased the upper cost limit for prescription medicines. In 2022, when the current government took power, the upper limit was 2400 SEK / 220 €. Today it's 3800 SEK / 347 €. A [b]58% increase[b]. That's in just 2(!!) years. It was already difficult for pensioneers and people on disability or unemployed to afford that initial cost since rent, food, electricity etc. has become very expensive in recent years. It's not that Sweden can't afford the welfare costs anymore, it's that the liberal parties running the country at the moment see their chance to destroy even more of our welfare and safety nets for the population.
It's like this:
Historically and until now the liberal right doesn't win the elections that often. Since the end of the 80'ies up until today there's been 3 right-liberal governments (with Moderaterna as top dog) while there's been 8 left-center governments (with Socialdemokraterna as top dog). 2-3 left-center, 1 right-libral, 2-3 left-center, 1 right-liberal etc.
The current right-liberal government is the first in 12 years. It seems to be a result of the population getting used to the politics of the left-center after ~8 years of peaceful and well working governing starting to feel that they want change for no other reason than being bored with the current government. So the right-liberal parties get their government. They KNOW that statistically they only get one term (4 years) and they are dead set on implementing their economic ideology no matter what which usually leads to a government shift after their only term.
The 2006-2010 government known as "The Alliance" was the worst government we've ever had (in my lifetime at any rate) and did the most damage to the country in modern times that is still damaging the country. They made sure the following government wouldn't be able to reverse the reforms by emptying the state treasury by spending it on whatever they could think of.
Their reforms were "Thatcher level": privatisation of school, healthcare, eldercare and other social services. They they took extreme measures against people with health insurenace aid and put their own handpicked doctors/experts into the state health insurance agency to "judge" whether someone has the right to get aid. Most of these "doctors" didn't have any kind of competence for their task, many of them not even doctors in the field of what they were "judging".
Those "doctors" were simply pro-right tools used by the government to kick people out of health insurance system. So many scandals back then with sad stories and personal catastrophies: terminal cancer patients kicked out from insurance being told to get a job, paraplegics etc., you name it.
Authenticated leaks came out that the order from the government was to cut support by 50% no matter what. It didn't matter if that 50% were completely unable to work because of their illness/disability, they were just dead weight. That government didn't care about existing problems or improving life for the citizens it was supposedly working for. They just followed their own ideological agenda. Fuck'em all.
The current right-liberal government, the first since 2010, is doing the same thing; implementing their selfish ideology, albeit not to the same extremes. The last right-liberal government already completed the main goals, leaving taxes and welfare for the current government to dismantle. They're unusually incompetent with a useless idiot as our PM.
