Get Wesp5's unofficial patch and you're good to go. You can select between a Basic installation (mainly bugfixing) or a Plus one with several additions/restorations as well. It's up to you to decide
There are quite a few Reshade presets around too, they might be worth a shot if you prefer grittier visuals with a lick of post-processing.
This is the one that I made for my last playthrough some months ago: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8vdi59bd7atdidf/Vampire-Reshade.rar/file (Just install the latest Reshade, copy the .ini preset and paste into Vampire's main folder, then load it from the fancy interface et voilà).

Hm, in the quest Surf's Up I am giving Mercurio his money back (that I got from the thug's beach-house), yet I don't get rewarded that extra 1 XP point...
What the heck?!
I am running the Wesp5 v10.3 patch (18.04.2019) over a GoG installation.

Don't you just get humanity for that?

No. 1 extra XP is rewarded for giving him his "lost" money back:

Quote: | Regardless of how the player goes about securing the Astrolite, return to Mercurio.(Experience Rewarded 1 EXP) If the fledgling also brought back his money and didn't lie about it so they could keep it themselves, the player will earn another point of experience.(Experience Rewarded 1 EXP) |

When I played for the first time, last year or the year before, there were still some bugs but I thought those were more about me fucking up installing the patch or something like that.
Need to play it again one of these days to be sure again... probably right before the sequel is out

Hmm might be a very different game. Redemption was pretty good as well but had a slow start. I still need to pick it back up and play it properly. It has aged pretty well.

I'd say the voiceovers, the style and the presentation have aged well. Plus the lighting engine. Everything else is pretty rough.

I started a playthrough with the latest community patch, but no mods. Even 22 years later I still love this game with all its flaws.
The gameplay and UI are so junky, even for that time. The atmosphere holds, to a degree, being spoiled by modern tech takes away from it. But the writing, the sense of progression and the universe are a thing of beauty.
