It's not just the FOV, because you can just scale that weapon's model down. Lower the FOV in Counter Strike, but guns and arms remain small on screen.
I wonder if it's model artists feeling previous about their work and there has been a steady inflation of gun size increase, or perhaps it's console retards that like to feel manly men and they get a hard-on from seeing a huge gun taking all their screen. 🤷♂️
