Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy where choices matter. Manage a dysfunctional team of misfit heroes and strategize who to send to emergencies around the city, all while balancing office politics, personal relationships, and your own quest to become a hero.
The cinematics are great. But there is no gameplay here. It's some sort of 911 operator and there is a "hacking" mode that is even worse.
These guys should do an animated series for Netflix or something instead of attempting to do a video game.
How can someone review this game, there is only 1 hour of gameplay.
Had a lot of fun during that hour although it's not realy a game but a cartoon with some stuff to do pretending it's a game. The story telling and graphics are great though.
But I realy don't understand why this isn't just released in one go, it makes no sense at all.
Started playing it today and ... honestly really surprised with the general quality of the "game". I think it's the best game of this kind since Walking dead season 1, Wolf among US or Tales from the borderlands season 1.
I really enjoy it. Obviously it has issues with how the general choices and results during gameplay don't have much, if any consequence to the story portion. And I'm pretty sure a second playthrough would ruin it for me as it does with most of these games, when the illusion of choice is broken. But so far, I'm having fun. It's surprisingly well written, well voice acted and just you know ... none of the message. It's actually very refreshing.
Well, just finished it and ... it almost, well I say almost... it just kind of face-planted at the end.
I mean, most of it was still fine, but the whole fight with the main bad guy, the revelations and resolution... it was terrible and pretty much break the story. I still like it, just wish they didn't fuck up so hard at the end.

Ok, and? The writing for that bit was horrific, made only worse by the fact that everything else was so good. And it's not the ending that's the issue, the ending itself was fine. What happened right before it, was like someone came in midway through the game, wasn't really paying attention to much of it and just fucking wrote his bit.
I don't know, almost killed the whole thing for me, but eh. It was good fun outside of that, and the actual end bit was alright. Like I said, end bit was fine, just the whole bad guy bit was ... I don't even see how what I have a problem with would be different, since it fells like a very fixed event. I'm pretty sure that doesn't change, so I'm pretty sure it's a part of all the endings.
