I feel bad for American actors in this American fantasy drama. Main and guest cast - zero Yankees representation. Brits and leprechauns only with a sprinkle of Aussies.

Production began in June 2024 in Belfast, Northern Ireland,[11] and wrapped in September.[17]
They're really trying to milk GoT to the last drop.
there are other books in the series so wat do u want....there is still interest in this if done good. its based on the tales of dunk and egg novellas which are very popular too but these dont have an ending either
this new series was supposed to be very cheap to make, with no cgi and short ep seasons
I am the only one who is looking forward to it here?

It's partly the turth IMO, GRRM isn't getting any younger, and he is probably want to make sure as much novels he wrote will be adapted to media as possible, I dobut money is concern in his case.
I think IGN got the full season.
Sounds slow to start, world building etc I guess.
Just saw on IMDB the show is 9.2 with episode 1 rated 9.5 which is pretty crazy.
The novellas it is based is a smaller story within the universe, mainly for fans of the worldbuilding and lore. I think when expectations are adjusted accordingly this could work very well.
The first episode was only 40 minutes and not even a complete setup, so we'll see, it is too early to tell.
But the overall atmosphere already fits the tone of the world.
I guess Matt Damon was right about that Netflix approach, some people need an epic battle to raise up from scrolling the phone and to explain the plot 5 times at every corner.
Great episode, full of heart, sets things up nicely without rushing, gives plenty of room for characters to breathe.
I enjoyed it despite not a lot happening, I was entertained throughout.
Interesting characters and looking forward to more.
A Knight in the Making was good too
Spoiler:
I lol’d when the Game of Thrones theme started playing and stopped as he was squirting shit behind the tree!
Surely not a nod that Game of Thrones was shit?
I do wonder if they will use a similar Game of Thrones traditional intro from episode 2 onwards as they did with House of the Dragon.
"not much happening" = not any fights? There wasn't a lack of stuff happening, it was also only 40 mins. They could have thrown in fights, blood, action, for the sake of it, i am glad they did not.
Slight sound of the GoT theme, quickly fading out and the protagonist shitting = shitting on GoT? or what are we supposed to take away from that? lol

Was alright. Not really much to say, mostly character establishment and setup. Vastly depends on how it's followed up, but it went by surprisingly quick, so it definitely wasn't a bore.
As of this moment I'm still on poop scene with the burning question why the fuck would you include it?
Googled it, didn't find any satisfactory explanation.
I guess it's for cheap shock. Trying to compete with the mothership GOT which only showed sex and urinations. We gonna show you pooping, that's how Irishly base we are.
P.S. Is it me, but when I shit in nature I do a much deeper squat, not that half-assed crouching.
