Bodes ill tbh. After all the shite games and series lately, i'd think they make a male oriented one (as is natural) and be proud of it. Would give them a massive popularity boost, but nope... Gotta continue the chain and complain about toxic males and whatnot

This sounds very promising! Minus the "also on console" part. But I guess you can´t escape that anymore. Even the w40k total war game is set for console enshitification

There is no problem. I play games with females if the game interests me, but the character itself is uncharismatic and uninteresting. Not hard to comprehend when i spell it out i think. But i don't go calling people crap because they have a different opinion than me, i just call out bad behavior with more bad behavior. It's a circle

Yeah, but let's face it, most people didn't have as much of a problem/it was for different reasons, with female characters in the past. At least in my experience, before 2016-ish, it wasn't even an eyebrow raise. But modern writers suck and they not only can't write interesting female characters, they tend to preach and just do a terrible job.
Whilst not to the degree of Stormwolf perhaps, I do generally tend to be skeptical when I hear a game has a female protag, more so in franchises that were male protagonist first, but regardless. It is a bit of a question mark these days. Not with studios I trust mind you like Supergiant Games, but still.
I love plenty of games with female protags : Transistor, Hades 2, Returnal, Bayoneta, The NoLF games like you mentioned, Control, TLJ, Broken Sword games (2 protags, male and female but still), A lot of the Tomb Raider Games, etc... Hell, half the time I play a RPG with character creation I play a female character, depending on various things, voice acting being one like in ME and Cyberpunk. But a lot of modern bullshit has kind of ruined my initial reaction to them.

Still early days though and nothing is certain. A customisable silent hero type makes the most sense for a AAA kotor RPG, there is still a good chance that that's gonna be the design.
