Also, quite the road trip from Asuncion to Albuquerque.
Some say he is on the way to Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. This station played a key role in Contact the movie.
Others say he might be travelling much closer to Atacama Large Millimeter Array in Chile.
Gemini states it's 'one of the world's premier radio astronomy facilities', it makes sense for him to go there in the context of his discoveries.

If this is the case his road trip will have to stop in Barranquilla (Col) or maybe Caracas (Ven) so he can get on a (drug) boat to "la isla del encanto"
The Atacama option sounds more interesting to me, not to mention more "time friendly".
I was hoping he'd go to Chile to further confirm his research, but the showrunners went with the obvious Albuquerque destination.
Spoiler:
Well, I guess, at the end he might have change of heart having being rescued and treated by the hive. Or he might not, and the show will play on the conflict between Manousos's hardlining approach and recently broken and desparate Carol's.
these crap filler episodes grrrr move it the fuck on... we already knows shes an annoying bitch, give me more science and scifi shit. not this bogus drama
I really don't want Manousos to become the main psychotic antagonist of the show. I hope the showrunners will be more nuanced than that. After all, they can always make the hive slightly more aggressive/disingenuous or some splinter group out of it.
After last episode I can say the writing is retarded. The whole Carol plot is just stupid, in half the series she was willing to almost kill Zosia and she clearly knows they will sooner and later die from malnutrision but after this episode it's whatever. Suddenly they can ommit Carol wishes regarding herself. The whole character of Manuosos is just all over the place in this episode from being angsty to almost docile few minutes later. Jesus...

b: the use or language of sarcasm
I've caught up with the second half of the season and ignoring some obvious uneven writing it got better. Carol finally started asking questions and behaving the smart way (or the way that is at least believable for me) and getting some information from Zosia. The whole "get the girl or save the world" thing was a little bit retarded, but I think this series needed that with Carol enjoying how easy life could be but how it is not paradise or carefree as she probably expected (stil I would most likely go Vegas guy route myself ).
I would prefer more science aspect but it kept me intrigued so I cannot wait for next seasons. Maybe having Manuosos full time (hopefully) will push the show that way.
I appreciated the concept with its signature Gilligan tone and photography; however, I'd be a lying chaperone if I said that I had a particularly great time with how the mystery was unravelled throughout S01. Whether it's the lack of pathos by design, the repetitive structure or the fact that I ultimately cared little for the character(s) involved and their daft shenanigans, the season felt like it could have been an email. I'm still interested in seeing more of this, but to a much lesser extent than I initially was.
