So any opinions on the game and the DLC overall?
I held of on buying the game because performance was abysmal (demo) and ppl said that the content n the later acts is shit.
Played a mage, ended up with 2700% Spell Power (more in battle with the Red Plague lament stacks). With the Serras DLC skiltree I added 50% of my Spell Power to my melee attacks, so to add some challenge I went mostly melee in with a wand in Act 3
Really fun game. Waiting for updates was a good choice, they added content to act 2 and 3 and fixed a lot.
Act 3 is still a bit buggy, I had textures in the tribe strongholds inexplicably go missing, and some quests had dialogue issues, but overall I had no problems doing all of them.
Sanctuary of Serras was uniquely bizzare, and beautiful. Glad I got to use the OP artifacts before they get nerfed
Haven't played the DLC but the base game's balancing was weird. Every time you start a new area it's so hard to take down anything for the next 3-5 hours. Then you level up and get good gear and start two-shotting everything. I guess it was good idea they give you choice to enter the last cave right away or do side-quests to gather more power.

Thats because you enter the wrong entrance. Yes, its terrible design
Finished Maingame and DLC.
I agree mostly with the assesmet of everyone in here.
I personally went a 2handed sword build.
You can upgrade armor/weapons and make them stronger.
Never bothered to make armor stronger only +++ed the weapon.
When i entered act 3 i just sold everything besides upgrade materials and potions and ++ed my weapon.
That was the first time i tried to kill the nightspectre (who was one shot) and i directly went to the boss without doing additional quests anymore and surprise the last boss was one shot aswell.
TL;DR:
So yeah they need to learn how to balance combat throughout the game and make quests more interesting. But it was still enjoyable for me would rate it a 7.5.
If they keep at it they might make a much improved Tainted Grail 2 at some point.
At least i hope so.
Pretty disappointing DLC to be quite frank. It doesn't add anything except new lore that didn't exist before this DLC was conjured up. Nothing that adds to the world you knew giving you a "aha, so that's how it is" it's all self contained and ends just as abruptly as it starts with no callbacks during the main game or no anything in the main game really. It's simply 100% its own thing
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
