I agree that character creator wont happen. Just a sliver of critical thinking will make you realize that. Problem ia that this character is so fucking ugly. Ugh. Fable always give gender selection. If this doesnt it means its a woke statement, but 1 second glance at this turd actress tells you that much
i read that this is a reboot so watever mechanic it had or happened in previous games dosent matter. as for the choice for her looks could be watever, from nepotism to cheap to watever story they are trying to make. all i wanted to point out is that they didnt took a beautiful woman and made her ugly to push some agenda
To be fair, the original Fable had only one predetermined (male) character that didn't exactly look dashing either, being an inbred farmboy from Britain and all. With that in mind, one could say they've nailed the new protagonist's look
Geez, see ... that's how long it's been since I played it, I forgot you didn't get a choice in the first. Only 2nd and 3rd. Still, you could get haircuts and beards and stuff as far as I remember, so there was a bit of customizing as you grew older.
Still, the original fable protag looked goofy as a kid, mostly cause he had the same head more or less. But he looked ok later, especially for the time :

the comparison between the two looks about the same, if she looks like a turd then idk wat kind of woman there are in ur country, looks average to me and at leat they gave her long hair and i dont care as long as its not a girl boss and will have a great personality

I think they had backlash so maybe added in a character creator or it was always planned but only recently implemented?
The recently deep dive gameplay confirms the protagonist's appearance can be altered.
