i wasnt defending those games in particular(actually yeah most of those listed do stink), but just modern adventure games in general. alot of the games like indigo prophecy and stillife and longest journey and such are taking the genre in new directions and just because they dont belong to the golden age of adventure gaming, doesnt mean they "SUCK" |
agreed.
some modern gems:
Wanted: A wild western adventure
Farenheit

A population that votes for Bush twice is surely also too lazy to get rid of their CD ROMs...

Then clean up 7 GB on your C drive, and if that doesn't work then clean up 7GB on every other drive which doesn't have 7GB of free space. And if that doesn't work you need to clean up your pc - I suggest a good hot bath.

That is the most unbelieveable thing ive heard in ages.. I dont know anyone who actually uses C: to install games/apps.. averyone i know (and myself) uses D: after all if your c: goes arse up then you lose all those saves/projects etc.
Install things on d:,e: etc and its less likely to go down on ya..
fricking eck this is 2006 not bloody 1991 .. people do not install things in the default dir (ok my gran may have done but she was 84.. and not exactly computer literate) |

Yes, indeed, I always install it on E:\, and the bloody thing about it was this: After I editted the register to E:\, the damn program gave me a solution to install it in a custom path WHY OH WHY does it first want to install it to C:\, and then give a solution to install it somewhere else

i use c:\games works perfectly, never had any problems, and NO its not 2006 for using the D:, its something you want, not everyone here uses another disk for games.

Total BS. It is like they are aiming the game at users who use c:\program files\blah blah blah and who couldnt partition to save their lives. Anyways this problem cant be fixed with a patch and forcing users modify their damn reg keys every install? BS. I bought the first game but unless they get that shit sorted out they wont be getting my money this time around. I am just shocked and amazed nobody caught this throughout the whole qa process...

You probably wouldn't buy it anyway, I doubt they've lost anything.

They also have a tendency to spread easier.

Ehm... a real release is something listed on nforce.nl and that is spread all over the net. For example there is no torrent of this "release".
