Whatever happened to the new version of Unreal Angina being implemented for this game by the end of 2025?
You're mixing up your stalkers, old fart. That's STALKER2 and guess it got posponed to this year... assuming it wasn't just some bullshit spun by "GSC".
As for this one, I remember some rumors about a multi-threaded open x-ray / monolith x-ray /whatever the hell engine that would FINALLY address that bottleneck so we all can play whichever is our favorite stalker mod without those annoying issues that always popup especially on the larger maps and on Rostok, as always.

I saw the video above and it looked like the new one... So they got that level of fidelity on the old engine? That is actually quite impressive! I bet it runs much faster than Angina 5 Stalker, and doesn't stutter like a motherfucker!
About S2, there has been no info out there, other than that single slide or post that said UA5.5 coming late 2025, and no further communications about this. Someone also mentioned off-hand somewhere that 5.6 or 5.7 is "interesting", but that's about it.
Oh shit, you are right, apologies!

Not with the old 32-bit engine that the latest versions of Anomaly and G.A.M.M.A. still ship with, and which pretty much only takes advantage of a single CPU core but read my reply to Toni below.
I'm using some miracle modified exe named Anomaly Optimized Engine (AOE) that performs some kind of wizardry and increases your FPS by up to 60-70%, but be warned, it's not open source and some people say it might be farming crypto in the background

It's already available (at least one of the several projects), but you will need to start a new game as it's not compatible with saves generated by the 32-bit exe.
Sadly, I started my current playthrough of G.A.M.M.A. back in November when this wasn't yet released and I'm still not done with it. It's the gift that keeps on giving
I still don't understand. If old binaries are 64bit and new ones are 32bit, then it's retarded.
Or just LuaJIT has been modified to have 64bit pointers, but is still a 32bit library, extending effective memory usage to 4GB, or even more, depending on how memory access is implemented in LuaJIT.

Looks like that is a 64bit, DX12 engine. I assume they use that for their "fork". Given that X-Ray is a proprietary game engine, the term "fork" used in that description is misleading. One does not simply take a precompiled 32bit engine in binary form and "custom fork' it to 64bit. Hence my confusion over the 64bit/32bit.

If only he'd patch his earlier anomaly ultrazone modpack
Still crashes near the bandit base in Jupiter
Someone somewhere mentioned it was related to some bandit jacket/armor texture from the HD pack, so I tried to get one of those HD packs, extracted only the bandit armor folder and installed that on top of the game in MO2 and voila, no more crashes so now my freedom bro can have fun with bandits on Jupiter too.
