The Bone Temple - Six Jimmies and one Howzat /10

28 Years Later fell victim to its own ̶d̶o̶n̶g identity disturbance, but the Adventures of Hyiodine Satan found a fitting albeit pretty awkward place in the hurrhur genre. It's a daft concept, so taking the self-aware route with occasional slapstick-y scenes was a good decision, helped by the surprisingly good flow and by Ralph Fiennes, who manages to elevate the "story" and redeem it.

Hail mary 8/10. Pretty decent movie. It started clowning around a bit much at certain points and tried too hard and too often to get women to go "awwww" which doesnt really land on such a movies primary audience, which is guys. but otherwise it was solid.

Heel

What a weird film this one is... sometimes funny, mostly absurd, and then at times even emotional. The acting is superb.

8/10

Black Rainbow Confused / 10.

WTF was that? This was the most surreal movie experience I've had in a long time. If you like the older/weirder Lynch stuff and similar dark surrealism I can recommend checking it out. I'll rewatch it at some point to absorb it better since I barely know what it was all about anyway.

Late Night with the Devil meh/10

Still looking for a so-called "horror movie" that is actually scary.

I think the last one that managed to make me uncomfortable was Bone Tomahawk, but that was over a decade ago.

Late night with the devil had such a cool premise, but i did not like it either.

We watched Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die. It surprised me in some ways, how new sci-fi topics were introduced and some of them had decent depth (especially for a comedy). Other times it doesn't really explain anything and we are just supposed to accept it.

Not too bad, had a few laughs + Sam Rockwell is great. Fucking Michael Peña though, does he have to be in all new comedy/action movies? I am so tired of just seeing him. 7.5/10

Gonna watch it tonight, but based on the last 2 seasons, where the quality of the show really nosedived, I'm not expecting much at all (despite the stellar cast).

The movie premise sounds like Tommy Shelby vs the nazis, so i have very little expectations Laughing

and be amazed what google auto fills Laughing Laughing Laughing

Bugonia 6.5/10. I admit I am not much of an art-house movies fan, nor am I a big Emma Stone admirer, but I found this black comedy scifi thriller watchable and quite entertaining.

The seemingly out-of-place loud orchestral heavy on instruments soundtrack reminded me Fargo TV series soundtracks. It's not particularly good or bad, just unexpected.

I would have given it 7.5/10, were it not for inexplicable to me illogical lacking proper motivation unearned actions and decisions of the characters in the movie.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man

shit/10

Most of the reviews on imdb say it all: this was a lifeless, rushed and unnecessary film, and a disappointment all in all.

A Quiet Place

Interesting setup and a fresh take, I kind of liked it. Would have been nice to have subs for the sign language parts, though. Because this was a relatively short film, and I had some more time on my hands, I also watched last night:

A Quiet Place: Part 2

Not as good as the original, despite co-starring Cilian Murphy. The child actors were really getting on my nerves for some reason. I think they overdo the "acting" for the most part. And their characters behave like total fucking idiots, of course.

The old gun (Le vieux fusil) - 1975

Director : Robert Enrico

Stars : Philippe Noiret, Romy Schneider, Jean Bouise

Quote:
During World War II, a peaceful French surgeon decides to ruthlessly exterminate an SS squad because of the atrocities they'd just committed in his countryside home and childhood village.

10/10, as it is anytime Noiret shows up at any time, in any movie.
