Played about 5 hours.
It’s not perfect but I like it as oppose to dislike it.
I heard it gets good after 20 hours but I’m thinking at least 8/10 so far.
I keep accidentally attacking and looting people so I have a bounty I need get rid of lol.
There are a lot of similarities to Red Dead Redemption 2 and the developers probably took inspiration from it.
Gives me crazy Dragons Dogma 2 vibes as well.
It needs some quality of life improvements like can I sell multiple items because I couldn’t figure it out.
I’ll put a lot more time in over the weekend though
I've put ~5h into it. Had 2 crashes so far (PS5 Pro version). I really enjoy it but the controls on gamepad are insane, like someone took acid when designing it. This game needs :
- Inventory rework (limited space, crap ton of things to loot and no fucking stash, you have a chest in the camp but you cannot put anything in it, lack of category filters, lack of multiple items buying/selling, lack of dedicated slots for tools etc.)
- Complete controls revamp. It looks like every team that worked on specific system just created their own scheme and they've just mashed all of that togherter
- Either I'm stupid or there is no difficulty settings, so far it feels too easy (which means it must be really easy as I tend to switch to easy in games when I get frustrated )
Also loading times are long for "this generation" game.
I don't regret buying it so far and will for sure continue over the weekend.
I got to say I do love the world design, everything makes sense.
There's a flow to the world. The big settlements are surrounded by smaller villages, fields, mines, mills. The people work, you see cloths being washed in the hundreds, woodcutting, merchants, etc. There's an economy unfolding before your eyes (unlike games like Oblivion lol)
They really put some effort into making the world look and feel realistic.
So they used AI for a couple of paintings, what's the big deal? Also those thegamer fags would be right behind modern pcgamer as the last journosite I'd care for, especially when it comes to this AI hysteria.

i guess thouth if without a legit key the installation was rolling back we are all fucking then
IF it's only the paintings, no big deal as they weren't enough of a priority to spend some more time over or even delay the game
I'm also extremely suspicious of most journosites going bananas as soon as they sniff that AI was somehow involved with any game, bunch of useless fucks that aren't able to do shit even with AI assisting them.
As soon as Exp33, Arc Raiders and BG3 let it slip that they somehow used AI, these mongs started pearl clutching like you wouldn't believe it.

Tbh, I only found that link so clowns here don't accuse me of "bad feeds". I saw the discussions on Reddit, then looked for a "news" site to give it a more … "anchored" feel. I have no idea who TheGamer is.
I hate AI slop. I especially hate bad AI slop. This is 2022 level stable diffusion type of bad AI slop. Using slop generation for placeholders or idea bouncing is OK for me, but once that shit is allowed to reach production, my trust is done. I don't care about the "industry implications" of slop generation, I care about asset quality, and slop generation never produces good results. Never. That's all I care about.
Ok, now I‘m certain I won’t touch this. AI slop makes me feel bad, almost like imagining buttsex.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
There are nerve centers in the anus and scrotum that can, for some individuals, bring joy from anal sex or anal stimulation. Whereas AI slop brings no joy to anyone.
