Main game is playable? They fixed performance problems?
There was a problem?
On pc?
It's fine but towns are cpu heavy. But the game runs better than even crimson desert aside from that

Ok well I’ll buy the game again if it re-releases as Dark Arisen 2 as the first game did.
Surely it will be available on all formats eventually if it’s a timed exclusive or something.
And if it doesn’t, maybe it’s time to get a Switch 2 and a good reason!
Edit: all formats confirmed

Your unwritten epic begins.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen enriches the dynamic fantasy world and expansive adventures of Dragon's Dogma 2 with unforgettable new tales and thrilling encounters.
Available for the first time, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will contain both the Dragon's Dogma 2 base game and the Dark Arisen Expansion content.
The Dark Arisen Expansion will also be available as separate DLC on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
I didnt play 2 yet but from what I read the "sequel" is more of a complete remake of the 1st? But will barely any connections between both. There won't be Bitterblack Isle, instead it's a new snowy area called Norgan. Or maybe Bitterblack will be added and reworked too, but don't see it in the trailer.
I guess they use the same name to tell people DD2:DA will be just as good or better than the DD:DA.
Well, I gave DD2 a go last night, and it's just utter shite in every regard, with no redeeming qualities:
- The story is a joke, and it feels like I'm playing the first game again. I mean, even some of the areas (especially the first town and before that) are almost 1:1 copies of the first game. The tutorial mine was annoying, with shitass cutscenes being played every minute. The "conversations" (which are just monologues by the NPCs) are utterly cringe and pointless.
- Graphics are shit, even on max detail/with nearly all bells and whistles turned on. The menus are horrible, and the only hotkey available is for the map, but not for inventory and such. Which means pressing Esc and clicking through shit a million times.
- Movement is frustratingly wanky, which also translates to terrible (melee) combat. I didn't even care to try the ranged options. Pawns are still as useless as in DD1 because you cannot give them particular orders only generic ones.
Thanks to the offline token system, I was able to play about 3–4 hours, and even that was a waste of time. I would never ever touch this shit again, even if I were paid to do so. Good job, capcom, putting D on this crap of yours, I hope you go fucking bankrupt asap.
i liked the original but i just could not get into this one at all. it just starts so boring too, like in a "i don't care" way, Crimson Desert is like that too, i don't give a shit.
Bethesda, crappy as they might be, actually used to kind of nail this bit (not in starfield), which is important. Piranha Bytes are also quite good with this, it might not outclass the best fantasy books or anything but its good enough to make you feel "ok cool, i wonder what happens next".
Part 1 was the real deal, it's a challenging open world RPG with a nice get gut grind. And it had original and fresh concepts.
Part 2 is just an open worlder that borrows the concepts of the first game but the game misses the progression and challenge that the first one has. It's more of a ubisoft open worlder giving you a lot of content that is meaningless.
Can anyone share/link a save file/slot? Want to check out performance on the most demanding areas (big cities) and some optiscaler FSR4.0 injection testing too.
The game has a complicated save system to say the list, but after all this time surely there's a way to cut and paste files from one player to the other? Didn't find anything on Nexus or on a google search so maybe not
