A young man on Earth discovers a fabulous secret legacy as the prince of an alien planet, and must recover a magic sword and return home to protect his kingdom.
In furthest regions of space the kingdom of Eternia is threatened by the villainous Skeletor and his mischievous armies of darkness. To save his fathers kingdom and protect the lives of those he holds dear young Prince Adam has to retrieve a mythical sword and become the fabled warrior only known as "He-Man".

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Hard pass for me. "The most powerful man in the universe" ? Could they not find someone with some proper muscles instead of this weedy looking thing... And a black Man at Arms ffs.... Nout like a token gesture. Why can't things just be like the original instead of this got to have a black guy in it you know, for inclusion bollocks. Call me what you like, don't care but I'm sick of it.

Having grown up in the 80's, i feel it is my duty to sit through this regardless of how much cringe it might contain.
we will absolutely go to see this, same with the Mandalorian movie. And i will rant about how bad it was and my friend will say he thought it was pretty good
i was kind of too old for the he-man figures when they came out, which i hated, i wanted that stuff so bad, reminded me of Flash Gordon but cooler (for a kid anyways).
But at a certain age you just weren't "allowed", you would just get bullied by your friends and parents would say "you are too old for that". I was probably 11 or so well, at 54 i have more action figures than i could have ever imagined lol. you are never too old for cool action figures.

No more than the cartoon. Being 8 and watching the cartoon, and being adult later and watching it. Is WAY different. MAN was it 90% cringe. (the other 10% was the intro, with its own unrelated to the plot cringe.)
Watching it when I was in my 40's it hit me HARD: Yea, this was a quickly pumped out, quickly drawn, badly written, badly acted, cartoon to peddle and push toys.
Not that it ruins how I remember it at 8-10 years old. Just the obviousness to all that back then, and 'memerberries of being a child, covers all that up.
Shit my whole childhood was 30 minute toy commercials peddled as very bad cheap cartoons: He-Man, GI Joe, Transformers, Centurions, Voltron, M.A.S.K, ThunderCats, BraveStarr,

Watched it as an adult as well, it's campy / cheesy and that's obviously the whole point together with the many great and imaginative characters. Still a fun watch. Watching He-Man thinking you will get a compelling story? Not sure what to tell you...
It's not exactly Max Fleischer's Superman in terms of animation or quality.
@vurt
Not saying I expect it to be. Saying I hope no one else expects it to be. Hopefully it is. But if anyone downvotes it because it wasn't deeper than the kids cartoon purely made for impressional elementary school kids, I don't know what to tell them either
For me, I might watch it if it randomly is on and I am in the room. Otherwise no real urge from me.
They already took transformers, GI joe, and thundercats and bent them over the barb wire fence of hollywood, raped them, and left them for the vultures.
Side tangent about movies about stuff from youth:
I SOOO hated the transformers movie. I was in the theater telling my wife: WTF, its 20 minutes in, and no transformers, just this nerd trying to bang his hot neighbor..how..is this transformers? We go into the wrong door for the movie we wanted?
Then they show up..YEAH! But bumblebee, is not a volkswagon bug, (a bee is a...bug. get the naming connection, Mr Bay?) AND the autobots usual timid yet measured voice of reason, cant talk?!
And don't get me started on Soundwave...Id post 4 paragraphs of how badly they ruined him.
Yea Michael Bay, I just assume you tried to fuck it up that badly..no way to do it that bad on accident.
