Yea, so far it's been pretty smooth experience here. Funny how there are alternative ways of doing things. For example, I've used MSI Afterburner to undervolt the 5080 on Windows. Here on Linux, I have a python script that executes some nvidia stuff to do just that...

I'll definitely upgrade to a new AMD card once they release it.

AMD has been unable to deliver a top performer. They even completely dropped the high end RDNA4 due to yield issues. They mid and low end stuff is OK, but FSR4 is too late, path tracing performance is terrible (but RT has improved somewhat finally). By the time RDNA 5 catches up, nVidia will be even more technologically advanced.

I read claims on Reddit that nVidia is actively working on their Loonix drivers. 🤷‍♂️ Here's a hoping it's true and we get a comparable performance soon.

So, I heard the game will not have French voice over this time.
And so it will be for all upcoming MS games.

Because ...

It seems French voice actors were the only ones to say NO to MS contract regarding using actor's voices to train their AI engine. (So they may be able to get rid of the costly guys in the near future)

It's OK we can render at 720p with DLSS and generate five frames for each real one.

It shouldn’t. It uses the same engine as before, targeting the same hardware generation. Previous title has been pretty well optimized (and decidedly not Unreal Angina 5), so it should be pretty smooth.

I would...if Motorsport wasn't a master class in poor game design with online-only grind-centric "single-player", risible AI, obsolete visuals inexplicably needing more resources than they should, and general features vastly inferior to Project Cars 2 from 2017. Turn 10 was also practically dismantled a few months back, leaving Horizon as the only active series. And then there's Project Motor Racing that was supposed to fill that gap but failed miserably as well Okay

At least there are still a few indie sims that are keeping the racing world alive for me, especially Automobilista 2.

Is that the new Ian Bell game? It failed? Sad I had hopes for it, but completely forgot about it. Why can't they just make a "spiritual sequel" to NFS Shift? Shift 1 and 2 felt like the most coherent games from SMS; pCars was a disjointed mess that had good driving mechanics, but were terrible as games.
