I went through the entire 2nd season and as someone that really liked the first season, I found it rather dull, disappointing and even infuriating when it comes to how they handled Billy / Jigsaw. How Frank left him was a big deal so he should act like it is, which he does, but then you have his baby face with the perfect goatee and a few scars on it. Genuinely annoying every time the character started going on about the injustice that that was done to him. Oh yeah, Frank actually looks worse than him at the end of the season, doesn't say a fucking thing.

Jesus Christ what a fucking piece of shit of a second season.
I need to stop watching Marvel TV shows thinking they'll get better.
Netflix got ya covered
Bah, there are so many retarded things about this show that it's not even funny.
First and foremost, why the fuck does jack of all trades Karen have to be in the show? Her character is by far the most useless, interfering and annoying of in all of Marvel show/movie verse. Fuck Karen Page, and her default teary eyed look.
The kid. From the 2nd episode onwards, I was rooting for any onscreen bad guy to put a bullet right between her deer in headlights eyes. Highly trained assassins are right on her tail and she actively works against the only person willing to help her.
The 2 grown up women. Fuck all the writers who think that to be a strong independent woman, you must break federal law, think that homicidal psychopaths actually have a heart of gold and think that being emotional flip flopping wrecks somehow is a good thing.
The Punisher. Go be the next Kindergarten cop you lesbian poetry night screaming,'lets talk everything through' pussy
I loved Jigsaw in this one. That face freaked me out (he looked frightening and I had to look away every time he took off that mask) and I loved the psychological troubles he was working his way through (wouldn't have worked without such a brilliant actor). Jigsaw was the highlight of this season, followed closely by Pilgrim (so many layers like an onion).
It's more fun like that, makes you go "wait... is he serious... he is not serious... or IS he.... nah, he's n-- wait, maybe he is? nah, couldn't be! but what if.. wha-wha-what's going on? guys???"
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."

Deadline broke the news about The Punisher’s cancelation, receiving a quote from Netflix saying “Marvel’s The Punisher will not return for a third season on Netflix. Showrunner Steve Lightfoot, the terrific crew, and exceptional cast including star Jon Bernthal, delivered an acclaimed and compelling series for fans, and we are proud to showcase their work on Netflix for years to come."

Finished it this weekend. It was so so, not nearly as decent than s1 was. The parts with Jigsaw sucked, and draaaaaagged.
I did like the priest, something of an anti-Punisher. I had hopes he'd go together with Castle on an ultimate rampage in the finale episode, but alas.
All in all, the best parts of this Punisher were all in Daredevil. Even s1 felt like a dragged out recap of the storyline in DD.
Jon Bernthal did an excellent job, though. I wouldn't mind seeing him again as Frank Castle.
I've finished season 2 last week and it was bad. It dragged so much and even the action scenes looked bad. I enjoyed season 1 very much though. Bernthal is perfect for the role.
Loeb's statement teases that Netflix may have canceled the series, but "you know Marvel better than that" and "to be continued!".
Quote:
On behalf of everyone at Marvel Television, we couldn't be more proud or more grateful to our audience.
Our Network partner may have decided they no longer want to continue telling the tales of these great characters... but you know Marvel better than that.
As Matthew Murdock's Dad once said, "The measure of a man is not how he gets knocked to the mat, it's how he gets back up."
To be continued...!

The second season felt like a punishment alright. I had to eventually give up halfway through it since it was constantly making me rub the head like ol' Shane
Instead of expanding upon what S01 did right, they took its flaws, magnified them, boosted the wonky Anticlimactic Marvel Filler Pacing(tm) up by a couple of notches with silly expositions and (for obscure reasons) they thought that focusing the narrative around an angsty teenager and laughable emo-"villain" was a good idea. Both Bernthal and Castle deserved better than this.
I also liked season 2 more. I felt it was more of a Punisher and less of a military movie, and the dynamic between him and the girl was solid too. Jigsaw wasn't, though, which is what dragged the season down a bit for me. Absolutely loved the action scenes tho - maybe not every scene was great, but there was a lot of badass, no-nonsense Punishery stuff here. Same goes for the ending. I don't mind it ending the way it did.
Jigsaw and the derp doctor were the worst part in this season but I really enjoyed the rest. A teenager that wasn't annoying for once (well maybe mildly in a couple of scenes) and a great anti-hero (or anti-villain) that was John Pilgrim.
garbage series, underdeveloped shit, after jessica jones season 1 it all went to shit, all of them have the same problems, feels like your usual garbage you see on CW of whatever but with more violence, daredevil was good because it had a good showrunner from the start and went downhill after he left
the defenders was supposed to be this never before done thing on tv like the avengers scale but was a big letdown
season 1 of the punisher was garbage but season 2 actually started great and was a nice change of scenary with that girl felt like a terminator movie and the bar fight was the highlight of the season and of the show really, went all downhill from there as they went back to the boring things from the first season
meh, the hype around these series all went away and with that there was no reason to continue it, even the fans got tired
I know I'm really late to the party but holy fucking shit wtf is season 2? Did they hire the CGI guys from Fiverr or what the actual fuck? Even I all by myself can do better muzzle flashes and cgi blood integration with after effects than whatever jpeg shooting thing they were all playing with I just really couldn't help noticing how HORRIBLE of a job they did in the shooting scenes it looked liked some third world soap opera tier shit. with actors just pointing toy guns at each other with 0 recoil. Really no excuse.
S1 was pretty good with decent characters, lieberman was well done.
I'm a few episodes into S2 and I'm truly shocked at how awful things are. I can see why it got canceled jesus christ.
