GTA V was the worst time to release, in between a new console generation, RDR2 released a year after console. 2027 is my guess, unless they know PS6 is launching sometime in early 2028

Rdr2 took them 13 months, Rockstars last release.
My guess is th pc release will ship when the online mode is ready, could be a couple of months or years.

No way this is shipping without online.
PC will be very late. They’ll probably release the “next gen” first, whatever that means, then PC.

T2 recently said they will continue to support current GTA Online after 6 comes out, so probably the "new" Online will come out later as well. But like I said before, considering the budget for the game Online microtransacton world will definitely come

They released V in that timeframe on purpose. Made perfect sense to get people double- or even tripple-dipping.
I bet they planned the same for VI, but now that we won't see any new consoles before 2028 earliest (if even), that plan didn't quite work out.

Which they don't even need. Similar to the rumours about Half-Life 3 trailer in the Game Awards, why would either Rockstar or Valve pay premium for such a slot, when they could also simply drop it on a random Wednesday morning and will get the same exposure anyway.

Let's say Steam makes up a third of all players over all platforms. That's still like $3 per active player per day. Seems unlikely?

Also, it’s not just steam. These games are strong on consoles, as well as direct Rockstar store and others.

In some previous R* reports it was shown that Steam has only 10% of the total GTA5 playerbase and consoles consisted of about 60%. The other 30% are still PC but on the R* launcher, Microsoft Store and Epic GS.
Not sure about RDR2 but it's probably similar considering it released on consoles an year before PC as well.

https://www.eurogamer.net/gta-6-rockstar-take-two-ps5-marketing-core-audience
| Quote: | GTA 6 lands PlayStation 5 marketing deal, as Take-Two head implies PC is not Rockstar's "core" audience
It looks like Grand Theft Auto 6 has a marketing deal with PlayStation.
In a new interview with Bloomberg, Take-Two head Strauss Zelnick explained how GTA 6 developer Rockstar always likes to release its games on console first. In his words,"I think with regard to a release like that you're judged by serving the core". As a reminder, GTA 6 is slated to release this November on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, but will not arrive on PC at the same time.
Zelnick elaborated further, stating that this means "really serving the core consumer" and "if your core consumer isn't there, if they're not served first and best, you kind of don't hit your other consumers". This is despite him saying earlier in the conversation that when he initially joined Take-Two back in 2007, PC releases accounted for around five percent of overall sales, but that isn't the case now.
In fact, Zelnick led into his spiel about releasing on console first and hitting that 'core' audience by stating: "Now with regard to a big title, PC can be 45, 50 percent of the sales."
Journalist Jason Schreier seemingly asked Zelnick directly if another reason that GTA 6 wasn't coming to PC on its initial launch was due Take-Two's marketing deal with Sony, to which the publishing CEO replied: "No… I mean, historically Rockstar's gone to console first." So how does this affect what we've seen so far? Well, notably, all the GTA 6 trailer footage we've seen so far has been captured from PS5 consoles, supposedly giving us an accurate representation of what the final product will look like running on our home consoles.
I still find it a little odd that GTA 6 is skipping PC on its initial release (which is currently slated for 19th November), given Zelnick's PC comments. However, this is nothing new for Rockstar; GTA 5 released on PC on 14th April, 2015 following its initial 2013 console release date. Likewise, Red Dead Redemption 2 came to PC on 5th November 2019, one year after its console release date.
In April, Zelnick discussed GTA 6's price, and while he didn't give us that all important figure, the Take-Two CEO stressed that the company's "job is to charge way, way, way less of the value delivery". Early last year, a report suggested that GTA 6 could retail for $100.
As for its console debut, Zelnick previously said he isn't worried about getting GTA 6 to work on Microsoft's lesser powered Xbox Series S console. Zelnick simply said the team would always "find a way to support platforms despite different levels of tech", in a bid to alleviate any concerns. "Our labels are really good at that," he said. "I'm not really worried." | Get fucked, PC idiots

If they wanne sell this for a 100$ this makes even more sense. Everyone with a console is gonna buy this regardless, it's a bit tougher to rob PC gamers this way.

Last game bought from these fucks was GTA4 (member games for windows? ). No matter how cheap it gets I'll never pay for one of their games ever again.

Sure. But it's easier to push for an insane full price with a console exclusive. PC keys sell cheaper in general with all the active resellers.

It's not about the price of the game. 90% of microtransactions come from consoles.
PC players don't pay that much for in-game money and sometimes they use cheats/mods instead. Like GTA Online on PC, some modders used to give loads of money to random people online.

Most live service games make the bulk of their money on PC. It's not a big mystery why GTA sells less. There is so much double or triple dipping that people are willing to accept. If someone started playing Online on console before it was available on PC, they will continue playing there, even if they paid again for the PC version.

https://www.eurogamer.net/gta-online-daily-revenue-data-and-more-leaks
| Quote: | | Another interesting bit of the weekly revenue breakdown per platform is that it clearly underlines how small the PC market is for Rockstar when it comes to microtransactions: Roughly $264,273 are made each week versus $4.4m on PS5, with the other consoles (and that includes last-gen platforms) surpassing PC, too. |
A majority of retards play it and spend money on it on derpsole, shocking

I know:
| LeoNatan wrote: | | https://kotaku.com/hackers-reveal-rockstar-earns-over-1-million-a-day-from-gta-online-2000687207 |
But what I'm saying is that PC gamers waste money on shit too, just not GTA, and I think that's because it comes on consoles first, people buy it there and start playing Online, so they keep going there, thus skewing the results. I think if they shipped together, results would be much more balanced.
