Yeah but its the 2nd since i now know the mechanics and do a different approach - not that i was forced to. My Goal this time around is to focus first on the camp and then the quests and not all thrown into the mix where i start upgrading the stuff in chapter 11. Also i sold some gear i didnt pay proper attention to and try now to keep all of it.
The game should have been released in early acces. For intsance the difficulty setting they added in the last patch, how can you release a game without that if they were obvisously planning to do so. And they are still fixing all those graphical glitches you don't see in any other game.
Dunno what the big deal is. AAAA game studios can't bring themselves to bring out a finished product and after it releases they dont even properly support it.
They are way too eager to release to get the money rolling in..
what will happen is worse review scores than if they had actually polished for some more months.
though, often times i think its a mix, a team of 20 testers vs millions, the millions will just find so many more bugs, inconsistencies, they will have far, far more opinions too..
not sure i agree? both looks great, just different environments. i'm sure you can find places in both which looks mediocre, and other places will look great.
So kind of like how it is when actually going out and looking at nature, some parts will look beautiful, others, not so much.
KCD does seem to go for a deep forest look, Crimson Desert not as much, at least not in that image, clearly there are structures there so its not supposed to be a deep untouched forest.
KCD also looks super flat in comparison, but maybe its just because its never as sunny.
The support is very good. If only they had posponed the release by 3 months..
No since the initiial releasedate windows was 2023. I rather take this with weekly fixes and IMPROVEMENTS (like adding more skills to the chars, new pets, gear blablabla) than any triple AAA game which is just the fucking same formula and patches take months (Battlefield for example).
Last Game that got me invested that much was .... i cant even recall any in that genre.
I dont even fucking care for the noise and lightning issues as the game has a compromise to make when you still want performance and no slugfest - this is it and its ok so, less of the same UE5 garbage we see every day. UE5 aint bad, but when everyone uses it und you have the same visuals over and over it gets boring fast.
Stil confused that Todd and his garbage engine are considered Triple A, in my eyes they are not much of a D team at best.
16 times the detail or some noise/light issues, guess its crystal clear

The flickering was all over. You don't need millions of testers to notice that. And the game was missing basic features that were obviously planned for release.
Surprisingly the game doesn't have a lot of quest bugs or other gameplay glitches, the stuff that is usually fixed after a release. So the devs know their shit. This just needed another 3 months of development.
never saw any flickering, i tried it at the day at release. so likely it is with some setting maybe, or maybe driver issue, though of course that should also be tested.
Otherwise I don't know how you can miss it. The shit was all over 1440P without upscaling. Also the texturing technique they use gives flickering by design. A second cause is the piss poor ray tracing they use to save compute.
But even without the flickering, the game had massive visual updates that improved the visual quality a lot, especially the last patch. Stuff that has nothing to with player feedback, it just wasn't done yet. It still isn't done. Indoor enviroments still have terrible lighting. It has improved a little, but it's still very, very bad.
the grass is not my favorite in CD either, i think especially the almost neon green color (not sure if fixed in later version, the above doesnt look AS bad as i remember it). if they would make it darker they can get away with not having shadows, well, somewhat anyways.
I think the game looks fine now. There is still room for improvement (for most indoor lighting). But it was a trainwreck at release. And the devs are still adding basic features. This was just released a couple of months to early. The last patch made it release okish, but it's still nowhere Rockstar standards of finished as of now.
Have they said they are going to fix the story? I find that very hard to believe, but if so, kudos to them. They would probably be the first to do something like that.

That's an understatement.
In some cases interior lighting is abysmal.
I often avoid going inside buildings as the game looks like some alpha / beta game that is still experimenting with how to actually make the interior lighting...

Game has strong good points but also bad ones.
It's abysmal. Luckily you don't spend that much time indoors. The game looks fine now 90% of the time.
Looks like cracling this game while still in beta phase is not worth the effort. Probably that's why voices38 isn't interested. Btw, my crystal ball agrees with me.
Made in China is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.
No need for a crystal ball, its more than common that cracks are chosen for games that are finished, content and patchwise - makes no sense to crack something for 2 weeks when the roadmap with major content is still along the line.
I see people have a problem with CD graphics. That is because you need RenoDX for it to look good - color grading and tone mapping. I have a HDR OLED - looks like ass without this mod. Looks completely awesome with the mod.
