SAROS is the next action game from Housemarque coming to PS5 and PS5 Pro in 2026. Wishlist Now.
Arjun Devraj (Rahul Kohli), a Soltari enforcer, fights to survive on the lost colony of Carcosa under an ominous eclipse. Shape shifting biomes and hostile ruins set the stage for a fast-paced, cinematic action experience where every encounter demands precision and adaptability.
Combat unfolds as a fluid dance of dodges, shields, and parries, paired with a high-tech arsenal built of human and alien weaponry. Master enemy patterns, evolve your strategy, and face off against spectacular bosses that push every skill to the edge.
Death is not the end, with permanent upgrades, evolving equipment and the "Second Chance" system that allows you to always come back stronger.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

I havent even finished the first. I really hate rogue likes and i seem to hate returnals systems way more than any other i've tried. Others at least let you become more powerful as you die, returnal doesn't do that. You reset complately with some QOL abilities you get to keep. You skip from one biome to the next, but then you lack all the powerups a biome run would give you so you end up being weaker during your next run. Just wretched
Saros i hear lets you keep building power in some fashion with death so maybe perhaps this will be the one i finish
Haven’t played enough to comment really.
I’ve had about 2 hours on it so far.
75% Returnal clone in my opinion, which is not a bad thing if you liked Returnal.
The story seems to be more in depth since Arjun is part of team and therefore there is more dialogue and NPC interactions than in Housemarque’s previous game.
I can see why the average review score was 9/10 based on the visuals and addictive gameplay though and I rarely not buy a AAA Sony title

I don't know if i like the sound of more npcs tbh. I loved the tone and how alone you felt in the first game. But i guess you aren't going to be able to recreate that in a sequel are you.
The NPCs are in the starting area but once you leave it’s a solo affair but due to the narrative there is communication between Arjun and the NPCs during cycles.
Played about 6 hours so far and unlocked the 2nd biome but can’t quite defeat the boss yet.
It’s a great game TBH and a lot of fun.
Gets better the more you play, as with Returnal new areas are always popping up and being added to the RNG. environmental system that works so well, which then unlocks additional areas the previous biomes.
I caved in, it's quite fun. Cutscenes limited at 30fps on PS5 Pro though is lame. They should have kept the in game LOD and made it 60fps. 30fps on OLED =
