I see people have a problem with CD graphics. That is because you need RenoDX for it to look good - color grading and tone mapping. I have a HDR OLED - looks like ass without this mod. Looks completely awesome with the mod.
So the mod enables shadows and specular reflections, and it does look better. But why isn't this shit enabled by default? Or at least as part of presets?
Is it that this derpeloper is still in the MMO mindset, where having too much detail would not allow derpas with "gaeming" laptops to run it?

Thing is, I just have no idea. The game looked so bad out of the box, I instantly tried a couple of solutions.
The funny part is, RenoDX doesn`t really have a performance impact.
Also, forgot to add a couple of other things. If you have an nVidia card, then do not use DLSS 4.5. It is very smeary (LOD bugs). Instead stick with DLSS 4.0 (and DLAA preferably, if you can handle it). The smearyness almost disappears.
If youve ever played on oled hdr you'll know devs usually fuck it up pretty badly (raised blacks washed out colors etc)
Heck nowadays on mew titles i dont even boot up the game to check the native implementation but go straightto renodx. Guys at their discord are also awesome
Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, ongoing dispatch missions would be canceled and the resources and contribution spent upon dispatch would not be restored.
Contribution that was not restored due to this issue will be restored in the next patch. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Fixed an issue where pets could not be summoned under certain conditions.
played for a bit and apart from the big map everything else is half baked very early access mess idk how people call this shit goty and masterpiece just gtfo
-the Oonka fishing mission. Hey, a tutorial fishing quest I allready did 100 hours ago. Had to again figure out how this stuff works, it cost me 20 minutes to catch 1 fucking fish, the hardest part of my session
-The Oonka jetpack mission. Easy and just craft it somehow? No, this is crimson desert. Turned out you need an item that can only be stolen in a totaly unrelated place. Good thing though that I google everything I don't understand in 5 secs, cause most of the time it's impossible anyway to figure the stuff out anyway
-arm wrestling for Oonka. Another tutorial mission for the second time, 100 hours ingame! . Did two of them actually. Fought the champion twice and did not get rewarded for it's twice for no obvious reason (probably main quest progression like in Hernand)
-bandit chasing (have to clear every quest marker, that's my weakness ). First one. Not at the location. Google. Not at the second location. Google. Also not present at the 3th location. Sleep and return (should have done this earlier but it's such a hassle to find a sleeping place nearby.) Run into the bandit at a forth totaly random and not related location.
Second bandid. He was surounded by dogs. Easy foes, but off course the guy runs and you have to chase him. So this got into a clunky sequence of tackling the bandid, being thrown off him by a dog. Kill some dogs, capture bandit again, repeat.
-and did some of those local fetch quests that let you run all over the map doing nothing basically.
No you dont, thats why the game works as you can do it how you want to do it. On my first run i was in the same boat, went back to camp to get the rod and failed multiple times and got angry so i jumped the water and catched two fish to see to my surprise the quest progress - my face was like "of course, fuck me".
What bugs me with the game is that as soon as you know that all the waterfalls have a cave with gear in it or you do the same slop mission after you beat all 69 bosses by going to another npc 50m away and tell him how nice the leather of the questgiver is.
The small quests are too short and of now substance, the main quests are the only worthy ones with decent cinematics. Same goes for the Bounties, to easy to grab and deliver.
Then the majority of useless vendors, way to many in certain parts. Which brings me to the UI from the inventory and the skill system - those need heavy rework as just more slots or artifacts dont cut it. Im done now have almost every gear piece and what else is there and the newly added chests are not a qol as i still have to jump around between them, gearsets are not named all identical which makes it hard to see if you got everything or not.
Some undercooked gamemechanics need to be fleshed out, nice to have but not mandatory.
The pro stuff is the decent crafted world, everything feels alive and well decorated - but ive seen places that could have so much more in it, in later parts you come across empty places that seem important only to be never seen aqain.
Most of the flaws youll see and notice after you have pretty much finished the game, on my first playthrough i was near the end and struggled with the camp stuff as i realized way to late that i dont have to do anything on my own apart collecting greymanes and dispatching them, on ym second i am swimming in people and resources with i say 90% of the map uncovered - but i have a couple of quests that seem to have bugged out and dont trigger the rest of the questchains which suxx.
