Finally finished this, while Grace as a character isn't as strong an addition as the previous canon I dare say her gameplay sections are the most interesting part of the game. Clearly where most of the work went with the unique zombies, thoughtfully placed in a classic "mansion" RE gameplay. The later sections with leon are a mix of nostalgia drops & generic zombie pew pew.
I don't think It's as replayable as the other games.
finished it too and was really good, yes the best parts was with grace but leon was really good too, both are just as strong and capcom nailed the balance between horror and action, also game looks amazing
im surprised how good this game turned out considering all the bs rumours that were going on before release, them wanting this to be some mp game or watever bs
The first few minutes with Grace was forming up to be some great horror but that didn't last long. Rest of the game is just a shooter, but the formula is enjoyable enough. Give the player a gun and the enemies become the prey. The only thing they fear is Grace.

Leon Must Die Forever is available now as a free update to Resident Evil Requiem!
Unlocked by completing the story, this additional minigame mode challenges you to clear numerous stages as Leon while unlocking exclusive enhancer abilities. The fast-paced action is distinct from the main story mode, and is packed with replay value. Can you make it to the end alive and defeat the boss within the time limit?
Multiple difficulty levels are available, including an extreme high-difficulty mode for only the most confident players. True to the title, you’ll "die forever"...
It's a nice mode. I was wishing for Mercenaries, this is sort-of a half-way thingy there. It's rather repetitive, the modes don't change between difficulty levels (you have to beat the "stages" one after another), but there are some modifiers you can unlock. In any case, this is better than just trying replace Leon's chapters individually.
You can get a furry Leon costume once you finish the first stage.

w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-what?
w-w-w-w-w-w-w-w-where?
But overall liked Grace's gameplay and story better, and the game would work as well or better with just her parts, maybe even in racoon city too (she finds evidence that lead the FBI to send a task force to shut it down, chopper gets blown to bits and grace's the only survivor).
Leonid being introduced at all just leads to tons of questions (how did he and sherry get recruited into dso? Is sherry always remote desktoping? How did they get infected? And, up to a point, who the fuck is Zeno? If any/all of this was somehow answered in RE6... that shit was 20years ago dood )
Or maybe they could have made a separate Leonid game.
The idea of bad guy's redemption is laughable, I think it's still cannon that he trapped a father in a labyrinth below the mansion to starve to death, did horrible experiments with the daughter so much so that daughter is wearing mothers face now IIRC (Trevor family from RE1Remake).
But no no no, he's repenting and is done with all that, he really is.
