So I started playing SH2 Remake little over a week ago. I have to admit, it's actually quite creepy and eerie. I really like it. I barely remember what SH2 looked like and I don't care. This is gorgeous in it's own bleak way. The only issue I have so far is that there's so much running around looking for a key you need with no hint where it actually is. I'm in the wood-something apartments and it feels like I've been running around there for ages.
Anyway, it's a great game with great atmosphere. 'nuff said.
I stopped playing. I love the atmosphere but the game has become so annoying with "find this item, with little to no clues, by searching for it for an hour in random places by backtracking in order to progress", over and over again.
I stopped playing after i explored the hospital, fought the hospital boss, then it turned into some kind of burning nightmare hospital that the game wanted me to explore all over again.
Then i looked up how long the game was, because i thought i was making progress about 8 hours in. I wasn't even half way through the game. Devs doubled the game length from the original (that i admittedly never played tbh).
Incredibly unoptimized piece of shit, the loading/shader right at the start pushed the laptop's cpu >100ÂșC, what the fuck?! I've tried many ue5 games here just for the lulz (wuchang, hell is us, stalker2), but this one was the first to do that.
Based on this, definitely will NOT try it on the desktop until xmas so this will be on hold until then
