"Launching in line with Cost of Hope on August 20, GSC will also release the massive Update 2.0 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Alongside the upgrade to a new version of Unreal Engine 5, the update will bring a variety of new content and improvements. It will be available free of charge to all owners of the game."
Was hoping the engine update would happen, glad to see the team got it done.
Even on console the engine can be a bit rough (That CPU is starting to show its age.) and this is one of the early builds.
Even if it won't be to the newest-ish engine update this should still help, assuming the developers are up to the task and who knows how much custom stuff is in a game like this.

Great if confirmed, either armor and weapon repair kits or traveling technicians would also be useful even if that's like more an anomaly thing than an original stalker thing.

why is the foliage so even, do they go around and cut it? if you're gonna do ANYTHING nature, go out in nature, you will be surprised how much you are missing out on if just going with "what you remember of how nature looks".
The beauty of nature is that balance of a total MESS of a foliage to then seeing a clearing with grass and flowers. This game is just the latter, you wont find an actual forest looking like that. previous version seemed more realistic, more messy.
This is why all pines in games looks like the pine symbol - with a top with branches growing down, like they are trying to find a sun on the ground, its not how anything grows. They went with what they remember, couldnt spend those extra 5 seconds of even looking up an image.
