rewatched S01 again... and yes, blown away, again. it really was as a good as the first watch, i had forgotten quite a lot since its been quite a few years now.

Antonio Banderas Joins Nicolas Cage In ‘True Detective’ Season 5

Production is set to start in 2027 for the show, which is being led by showrunner Issa López, who oversaw season four, Night Country.
There are few details about the season but Cage will star as Henry Logan and Pain and Glory star Banderas will play Rai Garcia. It will be set in Jamaica Bay, New York. |
