Yeah, im sure all these console gaymers are itching to get a gayming PC where your RAM, GPU and CPU costs you 3k if you're lucky.. all because Sony stopped selling physical media that they werent buying.

Good question. Not here, obviously. Comparing the activity here versus when PS3 hacking was new is like chalk and cheese. For video updates, Modded Warfare is the youtuber to follow. I think Michael Crump is also good for updates. There was (I thought) another one but it's not coming to me or ringing any bells when I do a search, but Modded Warfare is by far the most on top of things for both news and tutorials.
As far as sites, I'd lay PS5_jailbreak on reddit is one of the best places to read. Everything else seems to take place on discord, which is a shame.

Yeah it's all very convoluted. I am still on 10.40 and reluctant to update, but there is little to no info how well it works on my FW.
Then apparently there is a thing about the game packages, with most hacks apparently you need to unpack the games into folders, meaning game sizes of up to 400GB, but for lower FW (the reason I don't wanna update right now) apparently you can use fpkg files or so?
Apparently it also crashes a lot, which I wouldn't even mind occssionally, but it seems almost like people don't dare talking about it?
I have yet to find a good comprehensive guide or anything.

I was able to get PS5 with 11.20 for $400 but like everyone said above…there is no good proper guides written out there. Especially for different firmware version..
I will do it tomorrow regardless

The current topic de jour on reddit is Sony somehow updating people's firmware despite them having updates turned off. I can't be the only old bastard wondering why on earth your console knows your network name, let alone the wifi password.
I've got multiple untouched consoles all below 7.51, and a refurb unit bought at 10.60. That will be the one that I first tinker with, and it'll never know any connections beyond USB storage and HDMI. And power if we're being pedants. And probably bluetooth, or however the controllers connect.

So far so good, but I have had few crashes when I accidentally loaded too many or conflicting payloads loaded.
Right now I only have kstuff lite/nanodns and ShadowMountPlus running.
I don't really plan to mess with Linux installation or any emulators so I can't tell you about those.
People saying yt2jb is more stables but I couldn't find proper guide so I just loaded with RELAPSE.
If you don't go too crazy with everything at once, then it should be pretty good with no crashes.
