shouldn't this be the "General BioWERE Thread" Now instead of "General BiowARE Thread"?
Hehe nice.
It is a bit sad though. Not for the current people in there who were more focused agenda's, or whatever, rather than creating a game...but the ones that remained loyal to the previous ME and DO games and the fanbase.
Also because 2 major(?) games ,that are similar to ME, are coming out in the next couple of months, with former Bioware devs working on them I think, made them re-think everything. I mean they were betting all on ME.
EA doesn't dictate "hire purple hair hags and ITS MAAM troons" who then see it they/them's live's work to be "activists". At most, they send a lawyer vetted "tolerance" mail. EA is not known for their HR driven culture, unlike these "studios". EA has been a terrible, cut throat parent umbrella, but this is not on them.
It's the company's culture that manifests into every aspect of their activity, AND every subsidiary.
EA's policies of - for example DEI - are also infused from up (above them) and downward, towards the own policies that are applying on place - and of course to employees like BioWere.
In all reasons, it's the company head / EA that dictates such major agendas, not the employee.
The industry is changing and I clearly see EA making less and less "AAA" games... And yet EA FC remind very pupolar even amoung members here. So it will probably be this way for years.
Mass Effect holds a special place in the hearts of millions of players worldwide. Its rich and immersive sci-fi universe, with Commander Shepard leading the iconic crew aboard the Normandy, has captivated gamers for years. However, recent revelations have cast a shadow over its future. The decline in dedicated resources and ambiguous development plans from Electronic Arts (EA) threaten to leave this beloved series at a standstill, jeopardizing its incredible legacy.
Fans around the globe have invested thousands of hours exploring the galaxy, forming deep connections with its multifaceted characters and compelling storylines. It is a franchise that has transcended the typical gamer experience, creating a community that advocates for choice, individuality, and shared adventure. The potential cessation of new developments in this universe is a devastating prospect not only for fans but for the diversity of narrative-driven games as a whole.
Therefore, we are urgently petitioning EA to take decisive action by committing to the continued development of Mass Effect. This commitment requires proper funding, adequate staffing, and time allocation to maintain and advance the high standards the franchise is known for. Alternatively, EA could consider licensing the Mass Effect intellectual property (IP) to another studio that shares the passion and vision to keep it alive and allow it to flourish anew.
Both solutions offer a way forward. By ensuring the ongoing expansion and enhancement of the Mass Effect universe, EA would not only preserve a cherished piece of gaming history but also continue to contribute to the cultural and emotional impact it has on gamers worldwide.
Join us in this mission to secure the future of the Mass Effect universe by signing and sharing this petition. Let's prominently illustrate to EA the significance of this iconic series and our collective demand for its continued journey across the stars. Sign today and keep the spirit of exploration alive!

I mean do they? Even if all those 250k or so signatures are real, and even if all of them would buy the game (which they won't since virtue signaling for free is easy), what does that even say? if any thing it's more of a signal that this would never be worth making since you'd just loose all your money on developing it for that few people.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
