Game is out. It has Denuvo.

Phantom Blade Zero Hypervisor bypass by ARTIFACT

Fuck that, either get a token or wait for voices instead.

This is the way. I've been doing tokens for a while now and am actively wondering why I ever worried about a game having Denuvo in the first place.

So far, the combat looks better than it feels.

Hitchhiking on someones purchase. Denuvo have x amount of activations a day/week or whatever. Then going offline i believe. I'd just use the hv tbh.

I just played this using HV. Like all the others!! It is definately me I find way too many of these games and they all seem the same. Combat, character, story. I think I just wanted too see how it ran. It's fine......but not for me.

Yeah im gonna bet this falls in between black myth/wuchan/where winds meet etc. China seems obsessed with the same history so it gets samey.

Played for a bit. I think it got a bit too high scores, but what else is new. It's not bad really. It's just not 10/10. Combat is very floaty, controls are weird, and the movement and traversal feels a bit janky and not fluid like many other games.

But that's kinda nitpicks really. It does seem to be a decent game. 10/10 though? No way

As a token user you don't have to be offline. Just make sure the game does not connect to the internet. Also no security risk as with HV bypass.

I finished it, 100% I might add. It was quite the love hate relationship.

The game's all over the place in almost every aspect.

The art style is solid, there are great vistas and spectacular looking boss battles. However, the praised graphics game look quite technically dated. There are low resolution textures everywhere, floaty movement animations, etc.

The combat is an actiony souls-like that leans towards spectacular rather than tactical. When the combat unfolds as it should, it's a visual spectacle that's very satisfying. However, the combat drags on because of spongy enemies (I played on the highest difficulty, but I've seen lower diff footage and it's not that much better) which forces these almost cyclical engages where you parry until you can deal some damage. The bosses designs range from memorable to absolutely stupid, with the latter being non-stop spammers of 10-20 attacks or bosses that go against the combat mechanics (e.g. taking damage during perfect parries). The normal enemies variety isn't all that great considering the length of the game.

The sense of exploration is great and not very punishing on deaths. You don't lose experience and there are checkpoints everywhere. There are secret quests, boss battles, weapons, etc. But some of the quests have some weird requirements that could easily be missed. (e.g. run away from this boss battle now because you'll fight this boss later as part of their quest).

The music is great and has quite the range in terms of genres. But it gets repetitive towards the end and some of the sound effects are just low quality effort (the sound of slashing enemies is the same for all the weapons and it sounds like cutting a plastic bag full of water).

The story is downright terrible, it has almost no redeeming qualities. There are some cool moments towards the end, but until then you have to power through nonsensical cutscenes and hilarious dialogues, some of which might have been lost in translation.

If I'd have to give it a score, it's probably 7/10. I guess it's a solid first entry, but the overall high scores this game gets are easily countered by technical issue, a poorly written story and some questionable design choices.
