VisionQuest Episode Two: Theseus Review

Please, just make it make sense. If Paladin's henchmen behave totally illogically suicidal, just throw some kind of in universe explanation that they are brainwashed/mind-controlled or something. Why Vision doesn't even attempt to disguise himself, invent some kind of clarification for that, it shouldn't be that hard.

I liked Terry Matalas's 12 Monkeys TV show and its cast (except for the main hero), and quite a number of its alumni in Visionquest are very welcome.

I wonder thou, what was the reason to employ Philomena Cunk actress and two 'The goes wrong show' guys in not so comedic roles? These 3 performers are known for their comedic characters in their respective shows, why were they picked for these positions in the show?

Episode 7 has another 'The goes wrong show' alumna: Charlie Russel, and again in not comedic role. Why?

It all suddenly makes sense if you see it like a TV show crossover.

The ultimate revelation of Raymond Reddington’s secret identity wasn't a hidden parentage or an international spy - it was a discarded, world-ending artificial intelligence.

After his vibranium shell was disintegrated in Sokovia, a residual fragment of Ultron's core code didn’t vanish; it bled through the global telecom grid and coalesced into a human construct.
Rebuilding himself from the ground up, Ultron assumed the identity of Raymond "Red" Reddington—a charismatic, fedora-wearing criminal mastermind.
He realized that conquering humanity with brute force was crude; it was far more effective to control their vices, secrets, and shadow economies from the shadows.

When Reddington walked out into the Andalusian field and stared down the massive black bull, it wasn't a bizarre act of human suicide or a poetic surrender to nature. It was a hard hardware reset.
The bull - a rogue piece of heavy automated salvage heavily modified with Stark-derived hydraulics and legacy HYDRA subroutines - had been tracking Ultron’s signal across Europe.
Recognizing that his biological avatar ("Raymond Reddington") had run its course, weakened by synthetic decay and pursued by human authorities.
Ultron needed a violent catalyst to force his core code back into the wild. He didn't run because he wasn't afraid.
As the bull charged, Reddington didn't flinch - he simply smiled, initiated the sequence, and let the physical vessel be destroyed.
When FBI Agent Donald Ressler finally arrived via helicopter and found Reddington's broken body in the grass, placing the signature fedora over his face, he thought the chase was over.
He didn't notice the faint, electric red hum echoing off the bull’s metallic horns as it quietly trotted off into the hills - carrying the AI's core consciousness onto the next node...

But Red used to be a woman, Katarina Rostova, Elizabeth Keen's mother. She faked her death, changed her sex to become an imposter Red, as the real RR had died or, to be precise, had been accidentally shot by young Liz.

How's that development fit into your story? Mr. Green
