Gears of War VR is exactly the SAME LEVEL as all the other slop VR mods. And the mods are certainly within control.

You didn't miss out on anything.
I had read the main criticism of the game was it being woke. Dunno about that, never got that far. I played about 1.5 hours, and it's fucking BORING. For a shooter game, the shooting part is not satisfying at all. Also, it froze like every 20 minutes, and I couldn't be bothered to look for patches/update my VGA drivers. Uninstalled instead.
I liked Gears 5, but this one I can't be bothered with.

it doesn't even compile all shaders during that initial wait. Even after waiting all that it's still a horrible stutter & freeze fest when entering new areas with new effects and action picking up.
It's honestly ridiculous that they spent $400m on this shitshow of a technical mess

https://scskiller.com/
Or try loonix, stutter compilation bullshit doesn't seem to be that much of a problem there (for other games at least, no idea if it will help this one, I don't partake on Hurrs of Durrs plebeian drivel ).

Too late I shift deleted as well and started playing the OG series, there's cool native ports of GoW 2 & 3 apparently that I haven't heard of before. Called Hollow & Jacinto respectively.
it's incredible how Gow 3 still holds up today and it came out 15yrs ago.
I heard about SCSkiller but I also heard it eats up a lot of storage to store compiled shaders. This should not be a problem to begin with the whole pipeline needs to be reworked so products work as intended. We never had this issue in last gen games men, graphics weren't a noisey mess, image was clean, traversal was stutter free and this was on potato hardware in comparison to today's shit.

Game is nothing special, about what you expect from a GOW game but the graphics are very well done. Some real cool environments.
