Except you're wrong.
And I wouldn't call being in the top 10 at both Amazon and EBGames "selling bad".

Thanks Palegod!
It's really interesting.
I hope they will release it this summer or else i might forget everything :/, you think there's a chance they might release it this summer?
Well i guess we might have to wait for E3 to tell us.

My guess would be 12-18 months. New script, recording ~10 hours of voiceovers, all the art assets, engine modifications for X360, QA, etc. will all take time.

Its in the top 10 because its new, it was released only few days ago, so it doesnt mean anything. Funcom says it sells bad
BTW 12-18 months is too soon. There were 6 long years between TLJ and Dreamfall. Thats how they make games in Funcom, besides, next-gen requires more time.

has anyone of you ever played a real adventure? this is no adventure, this is a movie. where are the puzzles? you just walk around, talk to people and watch cutscenes.
biggest piece of shit ever made. even doom3 was better than that

Yes, starting with King's Quest 1 and pretty much everything else by Sierra, Revolution, LucasArts, and a good chunk of the Adventure Co. titles. I despise the Myst series and anything like it, and skipped the entire FMV fad except for Gabriel Knight 2.
I have to laugh at people who want adventure games to continue having ridiculously obtuse puzzles that add nothing to the story of the game. Obviously Dreamfall would've been a great game if it had a puzzle in it where you needed to make a fake moustache out of cat hair and syrup to disguise yourself as a guy who doesn't even have a moustache in the first place so you also have to steal his passport and draw a fake one on it with a marker, right? That's from Gabriel Knight 3, by the way. That might be one of the worst examples of stupid adventure game logic, one that makes the babel fish puzzle in THHGTTG seem perfectly ok, but it sure isn't even close to the only one. Or maybe it needed for every location to be filled to the rafters with movable boxes for you to push around, Broken Sword 3-style, because those 'puzzles' were soooo much fun.
IMO the best adventures of all time are Blade Runner (which had people complaining about the lack of tedious "puzzles" too), Grim Fandango (for the great story and because it got rid of pixel hunting), and TLJ (and as I've said above this is despite the annoying and nonsensical puzzles, not because of them). I would add Dreamfall to that list now, and I hope Funcom sticks to the same style for the final game in the series. Logical puzzles, easy or not, and a fantastic story beat the shit out of frustrating puzzles that are senseless and bog down the story regardless of how good it is.

I can't call this a game, much less an adventure game. Sure, the story may be a fine one, but playing this "game" doesn't require any mental effort at all, not even a physical one. It's nothing more than an interactive movie. Graphics are decent, but the controls...well, I've never encountered such annoying controls, not to mention the loading screens. I really don't know what the developers were trying to do, but this is not a game imho. If you look at it for what it is - a movie with a good storyline, and not for what it is supposed to be - an adventure game, then maybe you will not be disappointed.

Even if it has fewer puzzles than you would like it to have, or the puzzles are just to easy, it's still an adventure game. And what's up with the complains about the controls? Can't get any more straight forward than in this game.

Which version are you downloading? There's a two cd and four cd version. The two cd version is your best choice, if you want to play it on WinXP (also note that there's a patch avaliable, that fixes some other bugs)

I have the original 4 CD version in my draw, only problem is i got quite far but never finished. I wish I could find and download save games at the start of each chapter, then I could finally finish it but so far I cant find any save games for download and I dont remember exactly where I left off so I cant ask people with it for a particular save

The 4cd version works fine under XP (SP2) also. If you want to use antialiasing, you'll need to go to the official forums and find the thread on how to enable it and where to get the files you need.
And yea, you might have to install the police station crash bugfix. I don't think it affects nvidia cards from GF4 on, but it still happens even on the newest ATI stuff. The spot to save your game is right after the news report about a crashed zeppelin; if you crash going into the police station right after that, then apply the patch.

I'm not exactly sure, but I believe I've heard somewhere, that the two cd version fixed some issues some had with WinXP... I have tried both the two and four cd version of the game on WinXP, without any problems

That's a real slam. Doom3 was pretty bad, so I might have to check this out to see if anything could be worse than doom3.

I've had that one as well. There's a "crack" on it, but I had to mount the CDs anyway with DT whenever the game asked for one.
