Ah come on, just might be about time to rewrite some scenerules that are real stupid... Rips section needs to be redone as its harder and harder to compress games according to existing rules, Steamrips should not be nuked if working properly either as those releases ain't avaible on ISO anyway and so on.... |
No, thats not the way it works. And some groups doesn't care about nuked or not (Like most groups who are releasing RIP's, since its nearly impossible to create one within the sizes of the rules). I don't know if you've read the scene rules, but I did, and its definitely not stupid 
Besides that, the EMPORiO/PROViSION releases aren't nuked if they worked, but all ppl had problems with HL2, and THAT release is nuked. All other releases that actually worked haven't got nuked

and when you pre-order Episode 1, you get Half Life Deathmatch: Source,
So, Maybe i find a method to play Episode 1

I just took the time to read TNT's "the unbiased doxreport" as I always do. God those guys are morons. They always nuke PROViSION releases because "no valid ISO release, homebrew, bad crack" well guess what fuckers there is no ISO to release...
Some rules need to be changed IMO. Also that whole report is retarded, but that discussion is to be taken elsewhere.
I really do like PROV releases. Mostly fast and I never got a real problem with them. Well of course I never tried the HL2 release back in the days as I bought the game...

I haven't seen Sin Episodes on CD release anywhere, where is it? :S
What about the other games they release? Not all of the games from Steam are released in stores. Also games comes first on steam and then on CD when there is such a release.
Nuking provision is just dumb.

Even if you get the DVD release, you still have to extract the gfc and crack the Steam-Protection. It would be the same as the Provision release anyway because you can't make 1:1 copys of Steam-based games.

I haven't seen Sin Episodes on CD release anywhere, where is it? :S
What about the other games they release? Not all of the games from Steam are released in stores. Also games comes first on steam and then on CD when there is such a release.

that's the way some talented group will release sin episodes sooner or later... that would be what i call the proper release. the provision thing is just a workaround to play the game without buying it. the scene is not like that, is about skills, something that provision lack

Their releases we're always working for me without any problem
and who cares they are extracted.
the gcf file format is just a way to put all files into a non extracted format to load the files from.
it does not speed up loading or whatsoever thats just bullshit.
none of their stuff is nuked, only stupid site nukes and "nukes" on nforce which don't say anything:

I didn't know where to put this, HL mods thread is lost, EP1 is the most popular thread conserning HL so here it is. A very promising mod and with some nice gfx for source engine. FPS with real strategy in the form of a commander leader. Note: Only multiplayer.
