No need to be a smart ass ELIZ. I have read that one of the two cards need to be a crossfire edition and the other does not.

I was asking because one of the forums I went to said if you have two Identical cards in a crossfire ready motherboard that you didn't need a crossfire edition card, there is a chip on the board that handles the communication between the two cards. I was just trying to get the facts.

ELIZ if you are going to respond to people maybe you should consider that they may have some valid reasons for asking.

You will need a Crossfire Master Card atleast... So no luck getting those 2 running together as you'll need to switch one of them anyway.

It just has a crossfire chipset, meaning it supports CF, but you will need a CF mastercard as always.

Well it turns out you can actually have crossfire without a master card, only on the xpress 3200 chipset with the new catalyst 6.5 drivers at the moment.
Dosent work with x1900 cards at the moment though.
